I would like to thank Carol, and the committee for inviting me today. It was such a lovely day outside and inside the show hall. The move to Bracknell was a good one and it was nice for us all to be in the same hall. Ronnie cooked us a lovely lunch, which we enjoyed in the haven which is their garden, a very welcome break in the middle of a busy day. Thank you to my friend Carol who came especially to steward for me, and was great company as always. Only one more show to go till Championship status, we are almost there.

AC NFC GRAND CHAMPION
IMP HUGHES GR CH LANDSKER NEO (67 31dts) (29.06.04) Handsome and mature entire male of just over 4 years of age. He has a lovely NFC look and excellent type. Attractive red silver tabby bi-colour coat pattern. Excellent triangular head with an almost straight profile. Firm chin but his bite is a little messy. Very expressive eyes, large and oval and with a super oblique setting. Large ears well set and very well furnished. Very substantial long body with very good boning and weight. Very strong boning with long limbs and large paws. Typical NFC stance. Excellent full coat with good length for the time of year a little seasonal but very well prepared all white parts sparkling white. He has a super full ruff, shirtfront and knickerbockers. Very good coat quality and texture with long glossy guard hairs good harshness to the top coat, with quite a woolly undercoat, demonstrating a definite double coat. Long well furnished tail. Lovely gentle boy with a superb temperament, congratulations.
RES IMP KESTLES GH CH COSCATHAS LEO (67 31t) (28.04.04) Substantial and mature lad of just over 4 years of age with very good NFC type. I judged this lad just a couple of weeks ago and my report is unchanged. He was his usual gentle temperament and handled really well, I am pleased to see his tail does not seen quite so skinny today!! Very good equilateral triangle to the head with a straight profile. Weak chin and level bite. Large ears but too wide set and a little flared in placement. Lovely oval eyes which are green in colour and very well set, giving a typical NFC expression. Very good long body with excellent boning and good body weight. Strong long limbs and large paws. With the typical NFC stance. Huge coat, a little too fluffy, but with a very good coat quality and texture to the saddle and flanks. With long harsh but glossy guard hairs. Medium long and giving a full ruff and knickerbockers. Brown tabby & white coat pattern. Very short tail.

TABBY & WHITE NFC KITTEN MALE
1 & BOB – HANDYS FORESTSHADOW CONAN (67 31t) (18.04.08) Lovely kitten of just over 3 months of age and with very good NFC type and a lovely NFC look. Very good long triangular head, at the moment his profile is a little convex and needs to straighten out as he develops. Large oval eyes, well set obliquely and with a lovely expression. Chin would benefit from more depth but level bite. Very good ears, large and very well set, well furnished and with good lynx like tufts. Good boning for his age but I would like to see him holding more weight. Good strong limbs and large paws. Coat still very fluffy and kittenish but the long glossy guard hairs are already clearly apparent. Tail just about long enough. A very sweet kitten with a lovely NFC look, it will be interesting to see how he develops.
2 HERMONS CLESANTA EDMUND (67 31t) (05.04.08) Really lovely kitten who ran the winner very close. Unfortunately this kitten has a tail fault and that was my reason for placing him second today. He has very good type and again a lovely NFC look. Very good long triangular head with a straight profile. Good chin and level bite. Good large ears, set tall on the head and very well placed. Large eyes that appeared a little round today, but he was a little nervous. Nicely set obliquely. Good strong boning and good body weight for his age, with large paws. Very kittenish coat but again the guard hairs are clearly apparent and the undercoat is already developing. Long well furnished tail. Lovely kitten, such a shame about his tail. Lovely temperament.
3 DUKES BAGGINS BIGH (67 31t) (29.01.08) Handsome kitten of very substantial proportions. With good NFC type. Good triangular head, straight profile. Slightly broad and parallel nose profile line. Slightly weak chin and even bite. Large ears, set a little too wide and slightly flared in position. Well furnished. Large, oval eyes slightly deep set but nicely oblique. Very substantial long boy with excellent boning and very good weight. Long limbs and large paws. Good stance. This kitten has an excellent coat quality and texture. Long glossy guard hairs and good harsh texture. Nice woolly undercoat developing nicely. Long well furnished tail. Lovely temperament.
FEMALE
2 HANDYS FORESTSHADOW CHLOE (67 31ats) (18.04.08) Lovely young kitten of just over 3 months with good overall NFC type. Unfortunately this kitten has a pronounced convex profile at present, this was too pronounced today for me to be able to place her first. Slightly weak chin and very slightly overshot bite. Large eyes, which looked a little round today but very well set. Large ears, set high and nicely open on the head. Good boning, body weight and substance for her age. With strong limbs and large paws. Very fluffy kitten coat at present quite soft and silky but with long guard hairs already apparent. Tail, just long enough at present but quite well furnished. Very pretty silver tabby and white coat pattern. Lovely temperament, very playful kitten.
3 FROSTS ELSKENDEVENN LILO MILLYMOO (67 31ts) (17.11.07) 8 month old kitten of nice NFC type. Unfortunately this kitten is very unbalanced at present and her head is out of proportion with her body. Hopefully as she matures this will rectify itself but she needs time to grow into her body. Nice triangular head with an almost straight profile. Weak chin and level bite. Because she has such a weak chin at present her head looks shorter than it perhaps is, hopefully this may improve with time. Large but slightly wide set ears, well furnished. Excellent long body with medium boning and strong limbs and paws. Very good coat quality and texture, but very short of coat at present and lacking a ruff. Good glossy and harsh guard hairs and with undercoat apparent. Silver tabby coat pattern, which although it is irrelevant does have a lot of tarnishing. Very sweet girl with a lovely temperament.
 

I would like to thank Jackie, Elaine and the committee for inviting me today. We had a lovely day, judging some beautiful cats and kittens, especially the Blue Birman kittens. Thank you for the jam it was very fruitful and much appreciated. Thank you very much to Rebecca Stephenson who kindly stewarded for me on the day. Thanks for your support and company, you did a great job with the cats, I hope we can do it again soon.

BLUE POINT BIRMAN KITTEN MALE
1 & BOB BAILEYS NICADAEMUS ROMANY MAGIC (13c2) (10.01.08) Lovely young kitten of just over 5 months of age and with excellent Birman type. Strong skull with good broad head and full rounded cheeks, just very slightly pinched in the muzzle. Very expressive almost round eyes of a very good blue, well set, just slightly deep. Ears slightly tall at present, but well set apart. Slightly weak chin, would benefit from more depth, slightly overshot bite. Lovely dip to profile with a slight bump. Good pale blue – grey points to the mask and tail with paler legs and slight brindling around the eyes. Good long body with excellent boning and body weight for his age. Strong limbs and paws. Excellent pale coat, plush and soft with length developing nicely. Slightly low scalloped gloves, right slightly longer than left. Slightly uneven socks. Excellent medium long gauntlets, very good full shape and almost matched and even. Medium bushy tail. Very promising kitten with a lovely temperament, he was quite playful and talkative.
2 MASONS CHURSTON SKY HIGH (13c2) (11.11.07) The oldest kitten in the class almost 8 months of age and of very good Birman type. Strong skull with a broad head and quite full cheeks and muzzle, he just needs a little more fullness for perfection. Slightly weak chin and slightly overshot bite. Almost round eyes of an excellent blue colour, well set but could be a little larger. Medium ears spaced well apart. Pale blue grey points colouring to mask and tail with slightly paler legs. Lovely dip to profile. Good gloves, left extends almost to the stopper pad. Uneven socks. Very good medium length gauntlets, almost matched and even, nicely tapered. Long body with very good boning and body weight for his age. Excellent medium long coat, silky and plush with a medium ruff already developed. Slightly short bushy tail. Lovely boy with a super temperament.
3 BUSHS KUTAZA KITO (13c2) (21.02.08) Baby of the class at just over 4 months of age with good Birman type. Strong skull with a good broad head and nice full cheeks and muzzle. Slightly weak chin, needs a little more depth. Bite slightly overshot at present. Ears a little tall at present. Almost round eyes with quite pale blue eye colour especially around the rims. Good dip to profile with a slight bump. Slate grey points with slight brindling on the mask and around the eyes. Good gloves, almost even, left extends at the back but not past stopper pad. Even socks. Uneven gauntlets, left is long and quite pointed. Right is medium in length and nicely shaped and tapered. Very good body weight and size for his age, with strong limbs and paws. Medium length pale coat with very slight shading to the back. Soft and silky, very well prepared. Short tail. Sweet kitten, who just needs some time to mature, lovely temperament.
FEMALE
These two kittens gave me a real problem, I found it very difficult to separate them, they are both lovely and will I am sure do very well on the show bench.
1 MLYNEK & HAYWARDS MLYWARD BLUEBERRY MUFFIN (13c2) (26.03.08) Lovely baby at just over 3 months of age with very good Birman type. My deciding factor between these two kittens in the end was this kittens’ head, which I think is just a little more balanced today. Strong skull with a good broad head and full rounded cheeks and muzzle. My only worry is whether this kittens’ head will be a fraction short once she has matured, time will tell. Lovely dip in profile. Good chin with very slightly overshot bite at present. Ears a little too tall, she needs to grow into them! Almost round eyes of an excellent blue, well set and with a lovely Birman expression. Low scalloped gloves, quite even. Even socks. Low to medium length gauntlets. Right is fuller and the left is a bit thinner and more pointed at the end. Pale blue grey markings, with slightly paler legs. Good boning and body weight for her age, very solid little kitten. Very much a kitten coat at present still showing the temperature marking at present. Soft and fluffy and needs time to develop. Medium, bushy tail. Lovely playful kitten, with a super temperament.
2 PIKES CAROONA BOUNCING BUNDLE (13c2) (04.03.08) Another lovely kitten, unfortunate to meet the winner today. Just 1 day over 4 months and with very good Birman type. Strong skull with a broad head and full rounded cheeks and muzzle. Lovely dip to profile. Slightly weak chin, level bite. Ears a little tall at present. Slate grey points to head and tail with paler legs. Almost round eyes with good blue eye colour, well set and with a lovely Birman expression. Slightly low and scalloped gloves, right extends to the stopper pad but not beyond. Slightly uneven socks. Low to medium gauntlets, quite even in shape, left dips in at the side. The right has a white spot just above the gauntlet but it does attach to the gauntlet. Very good body weight and boning for her age, long body and strong paws. Medium long coat, silky, soft and with slight glacial overtones. Short bushy tail. Lovely kitten with a delightful personality.

CHOCOLATE OR LILAC POINT BIRMAN KITTEN MALE
1 & BOB WATERS SAYADAWS PRAIRIE FALCON (13c3) (23.02.08) Sweet chocolate point kitten of just over 4 months of age with good Birman type. Strong skull with a good broad head and full cheeks, muzzle a little pinched at present, but I suspect that he is teething. Good chin and level bite. Good dip to profile with a bump. Very large ears at present that are a little too flared in placement. Almost round eyes of an excellent blue colour and well set. Pale chocolate points at present with mask yet to develop and very pale markings to the ears, legs and tail. The lack of colouring makes the muzzle appear more pinched than it actually is. Very brindled around the eyes. Good gloves, both extend to the stopper pad but not beyond. Almost even socks. Medium length gauntlets, almost matched and even, nicely tapered and full in shape. Very good long body with strong boning and good weight for his age. Strong limbs and paws. Very pale and soft coat, quite silky and with good length developing. Medium bushy tail. Sweet kitten who needs time to develop with a fabulous temperament.

AC MAINE COON, NORWEGIAN FOREST OR SIBERIAN BREEDERS ADULT
1 KESTLES GR CH COSCATHAS LEO (67 31t) (28.04.04) Substantial and mature lad of just over 4 years of age with very good NFC type. Very good equilateral triangle to the head with a straight profile. 2 ROWBERRYS CH ROWGARNOR OVERTHEMOON (67 31ats) (12.06.06) Young female of just over 2 years of age with very good NFC type. Very good triangular head with a good chin and level bite. Straight profile. Large ears, which look to be quite well set but she refused to put them up today so we couldn’t really tell! Lovely expression large, oval greeny eyes and set obliquely, typically NFC in expression. Very good long body with very good boning and substance. Strong limbs with large paws. Typical NFC stance. Excellent coat quality and texture although very short and seasonal at present. She needs a ruff and shirtfront to complete the image. Good double coat apparent. Lovely blue silver tabby and white bi-colour coat pattern. Long tail, also very sparse at present. Sweet girl who was very easy to handle, super temperament.
3 ZECHS ZECOONA KIARA ROSE (64 31sw) (28.09.07) Attractive Silver tabby and white Maine Coon girl of just over 9 months of age and with good Maine Coon type. Her owners had obviously been confused about the numbering systems now in place as her breed number was incorrect. It was a mixture of the two systems under the old system it would have been 64 31ts and now it should be 64 41sw. I reported the issue to the Show Manager, who checked the entry form which had the same number as my judges book, however the written colour description was correct and therefore as this was a side class I judged her for the colour that she was described as and in fact was in the fur too. I trust that the BAC will be satisfied with this explanation. Good strong head, but I would prefer more width. High cheekbones and reasonably full cheeks. With a good square muzzle. She just needs time to mature and for her head to broaden and balance out the length. Good shallow concave curve to profile. Good chin and slightly overshot bite at present. Nice perpendicular line. Full, round eyes of a lovely gold colour, well set and slightly oblique. Large, tall ears, set high but well apart with good ear tufts. Long, rangy body, with very good boning, she just needs to fill out her frame over time. Good bodyweight for her age and with strong limbs and large round paws. Good coat quality and texture, soft and silky with a glossy top coat. Very diffused tabby pattern at present, good butterfly on the shoulders but very solid along the spine line and with no clear oysters. Very clear barring to the legs. Quite a lot of tarnishing along the spine line and to the side of the mask, around the eyes and on the chest, also extending down the front legs. White paws and underbelly with slightly yellow back feet, additionally she had had an unfortunate accident and her back end was very damp and smelly. Long flowing tail. Sweet girl with promise.

AC MAINE COON, NORWEGIAN FOREST OR SIBERIAN NON - BREEDERS ADULT
1 GRABHAMS CH NORSKMAGIKATT ELROY (67 31t) (02.02.07) A lovely young lad who I have not judged for some time and I am glad to see he is fulfilling his earlier promise. He is now almost 18 months old and still of excellent NFC type. Very good triangular head still slightly longer than wide as I would expect for his age. Slightly bumpy profile. Firm chin but he is a little overshot and has quite a messy bite with some teeth missing. Large ears set slightly wide on his head but well furnished. Super expression, large, oval eyes with a good oblique setting. Very long body with excellent boning and substance. Long limbs and large paws. Typical NFC stance, standing tall on his hind legs. Quite a cold brown tabby but attractive bi colour brown tabby and white coat pattern. Excellent coat quality and texture. Good harsh top coat with long glossy guard hairs and a woolly coat apparent underneath. Medium ruff and shirtfront, nicely developed. Very long tail with excellent furnishings. Very talkative lad who handled really well.
2 WOODS CH NORSKMAGI FOREST SVANA (67 18a) (12.04.04) Silver tabby Norwegian female of 4 years of age of nice type. Good triangular head with a straight profile. Chin needs more depth, level bite. Ears could be a fraction larger for perfection but well set. Lovely large oval eyes, green in colour, set obliquely and with a lovely expression. Quite long body with medium boning and good body weight. Excellent coat quality and texture although she is quite short of coat at present due to the season. Despite this she has very good long and glossy guard hairs. Very sweet girl with a lovely temperament.

AV ARISTOCRAT ADULT – this was an exceptional class with a number of excellent cats. It’s a shame there can be only 1st prize.
1 SALLOWS FILENSIO TREASURE (66 31) (11.05.07) Lovely young Ragdoll of just over a year in age and with excellent Ragdoll type. Good broad head with a flat plane. Well developed cheeks and well rounded muzzle. Gentle dip to profile with a retrousse tip. Medium ears set wide apart and nicely tilted forward. Large well opened eyes of a very good blue. Lovely inverted v on mask Long and muscular body with very good boning and substance. Long limbs and strong paws. Only one white thumbprint to the back with the rest a paler seal colour. Very good coat, soft and silky, with a good ruff framing the face. Very well prepared. Slightly short but flowing tail. Lovely temperament.
2 WATTS LENNALI BARRINGTON BAGGINS (63) (05.03.07) Handsome young Usual lad with very good Somali type and a typical Somali expression. Only 16 months old. Good strong head with a moderate wedge and gentle rounded contours. Slight break to profile. Good facial markings with good eye tracings and lovely golden, almond eyes with a lovely expression. Lovely ears, good size and set wide apart and nicely cupped forward. Well furnished. God chin with a slightly overshot bite. Good strong body, firm and muscular with long leg and well tufted feet. Solid black paws pads and heels. Soft and silky coat with length and ruff developing nicely, coat just slightly seasonal with a little scurf and slight grey roots but with the new coat coming through at the roots. Rich colouring to the shoulders and along the back with very good ticking across the whole coat and with a pale apricot base coat. Very slight barring on the front legs, broken necklace. Medium, well furnished tail. Very promising young lad with a lovely temperament.

Super head, strong, with high cheekbones and fairly full cheeks. Very good strong square muzzle, head is very well developed for his age. Good chin with level bite and good perpendicular line. Lovely expression with full, round deeply gold coloured eyes, slightly oblique and very well set. Large, tall ears, set high and well apart with very good ear tufts. Super long body with very good boning and substance for her age. Strong limbs and huge round paws. Coat still quite kittenish at present but with good glossy guard hairs apparent already. Classic Silver tabby coat pattern with strong pattern and no apparent tarnishing. Good butterfly and oysters starting to develop, with just a single spine line at present. Good barring on legs. Very well prepared. Long flowing tail. Lovely kitten with a super playful personality.

It is almost a year since I have judged this lad and he is looking as superb as ever. Strong skull with a super broad head, full rounded cheeks and lovely rounded muzzle. Slight dip to profile. Soft blue – grey points colouring to all points. Very expressive eyes which are almost round in shape and of an excellent blue. Very well set. Medium ears set well apart. Chin could be a little stronger, level bite. Long , massive body, very substantial with excellent boning and body weight. Strong and thick set limbs with large strong paws. Super pale bluish – white coat with slight shading to the back but pale at the roots. Soft, silky and very well prepared. Excellent full coat with a full ruff and shirtfront framing the face. Good even gloves and socks. Medium long gauntlets, very good full shape and almost matched and even. Medium bushy tail. A gentle giant with a wonderful temperament.
2 GROVES GR PR SPELLSINGER MOON BALLAD ( 13c2) (03.05.02) Another lovely almost veteran Birman. He is just over 6 years old and has excellent Birman type. Strong skull with a lovely broad head, full rounded cheeks and a super rounded muzzle. Slight dip to profile. Good blue – grey colouring to all points. Weak chin and level bite. Almost round eyes with good blue eye colouring, very well set with a lovely expression. Medium ears set wide apart. Very good feet markings. Good gloves, even socks. Good medium to long gauntlets, almost matched and even and a good full shape, nicely tapered. Very full coat with a full ruff and shirtfront framing the face. Pale coat, which is soft and silky with just slight shading to the back, pale at the roots. Medium bushy tail. A lovely mature boy, who was a bit tetchy today.

1 WATTS CH & GRPR EMANAN BOOTSTRAP BILL (63c) (15.07.05) Young lad of almost 3 years of age with excellent Somali type. Typical Somali expression, strong head with a moderate wedge and gently contoured muzzle. Lovely slight break in profile. Good chin and level bite. Very good facial markings, especially around the eyes. Lovely, large almond eyes, set obliquely, very expressive. Excellent ears, set wide apart and well cupped and tufted. Long body with very good body weight and substance. Muscular with strong boning and long limbs. Oval paws with very good paw and heel colouring. Soft blue coat, very soft and silky coat with a medium ruff and breeches. Ticking is slightly dense across the spine line and top of the back, more shaded than ticked. Good ticking evident on the shoulders and flanks. Very well prepared. Good medium tail, rather well furnished. Very sweet cat with a lovely temperament.
2 STANTON GRPR AZERPASHAN BOBBY DAZZLER (66a) (25.04.01) Lovely veteran Ragdoll of 7 years of age and with very good Ragdoll type. Super broad head with a nice flat plane. Well developed cheeks and well rounded muzzle. Gentle dip to profile. Medium ears set wide apart and nicely tilted forward. Large well opened eyes of a very good blue. Long and muscular body with excellent boning and substance, muscular body with long limbs and strong round paws. Very dense and woolly coat, quite short with a plush ruff framing the face. Long tail. Lovely temperament.

1 SYKES DARAQUIST SUZY SPLASH (64 41ew) (28.08.07) Lovely young adolescent female of just 10 months of age and with very good Maine Coon type. Everything in its place but she just needs time to mature. Lovely strong head with good width, high cheekbones with full cheeks and a strong square muzzle already well developed. Very good firm chin with a level bite and nice perpendicular line. Shallow concave curve to profile but with a very slight nose bump. Beautiful round eyes of a greeny gold colour, well set and just slightly obliquely. Large, tall ears, set wide at the base and nicely tapering with very good ear tufts, very well set. Long body, strong and weighty with very good substance. Strong limbs and large round paws. Attractive tortie tabby and white coat pattern, with the tortie diffusing the tabby patterning. Pure white feet and locket. Strong tabby marking on her muzzle which has a lot of rich red colouring. Excellent coat quality and texture with excellent preparation and double coat apparent. Long flowing tail of a very good length. Very promising youngster with a sweet disposition.
2 LAKES JEMAHAN TEQUILA BREEZ (64 43asw) (31.08.07) Another promising youngster who is most striking. He is almost 10 months old and has good Maine Coon type. Good strong head with high cheekbones and fairly full cheeks still needs a little time to broaden to balance out the length of his head. Good strong square muzzle. Needs a little more depth to his chin , level bite. Good curve to his profile but with quite a pronounced nose bump. Lovely large golden eyes, round in shape and very well set giving a lovely expression. Large tall ears, set wide at the base with very good ear furnishings and tufts and very well set on his head. Very long and substantial body with excellent strong boning, and very muscular. Substantial limbs with strong round paws. Good snowshoes. Long flowing tail. Lovely red silver shaded coat colour. Very slight tabby marking are still apparent across the mask, shoulders and back of the coat. Very well prepared coat, soft and with a silky waterproof top coat, coat length still developing. Another lovely kitten, but he was a little tetchy today.

Very good strong head with high cheekbones, full cheeks and a strong square muzzle. Very strong chin with excellent width and depth to the chin. Super perpendicular line, bite just very slightly overshot at present. Good curve to profile with just a very slight nose bump. Lovely round amber eyes, set slightly obliquely and giving a lovely expression. Large, tall ears a little too flared in their setting but with good ear tufts. Very strong tabby markings on the mask and with thumbprints to the ears. Good butterfly on the shoulders but the back is a little solid as yet and the pattern has not yet come through. Good long and flowing tail. Lovely kitten with a fabulous temperament, he just purred and purred….
2 WAITES OLIROSE SILVERSTORM (64 41sw) (04.10.07) Lovely serene kitten with very good Maine Coon type and almost 9 months of age. Very good strong head with high cheekbones and quite full cheeks, just needs a little more time to broaden. Good square muzzle. Chin has good depth but could have a little more width to balance the muzzle. Good level bite. Lovely curve to profile. Super full eyes, full and round and set slightly obliquely giving a lovely expression. Large ears, with huge ear tufts, he didn’t want to hold his ears up for us and I suspect they could be placed a fraction higher on his head for perfection. Good long body with very good boning and weight for his age, he just needs time to fill out his frame. Strong limbs and large round paws. Very good coat quality and texture, very well prepared, soft and silky with a glossy top coat. Very well prepared. Silver tabby and white coat colour and pattern. Pattern still developing and a little diffused still but you can make out the trademark butterfly and oysters to the shoulders and sides. Slight tarnishing over the spine line of the coat and also to the mask. Long flowing tail. Another lovely kitten with a fabulous gentle temperament.

Lovely expression, once he relaxed, with coppery eyes, full and round and very well set. Large, tall ears with good ear tufts, very well set. Deep powerful chest. Long body with good boning and substance, strong limbs and large round paws. Red tabby coat pattern, quite diffuse in pattern, very solid along the spine line, but with very good tabby markings on the mask and ears. Very full coat with a full ruff, shirtfront and breeches. Good coat quality with double coat apparent and glossy silky topcoat. Very well prepared. Good long tail well furnished and flowing. I just loved the type on this lad and he had a lovely gentle temperament but was quite nervous today.

Chin could do with a bit more width and bite very slightly uneven. Good perpendicular line. Lovely greeny gold eyes, full and round and very well set, just slightly oblique. Very large ears, tall but too wide set and flared in position. Good ear tufts. Good shallow curve to profile. Very powerful cat with a very long body and a powerful neck and chest, Very substantial boning with strong limbs and large round paws. Red tabby and white coat pattern, with diffuse tabby markings on the mask and body but with clear oysters apparent on his flanks. Very full coat, with a flowing ruff shirtfront and good long tail. All white parts sparkling white. Very well prepared coat. Soft and with a silky glossy top coat. Very good coat texture and quality. Lovely lad, just a little cross today.

Very strong head with high cheekbone and very full cheeks, very strong square muzzle. Very good shallow concave profile. Firm chin which would benefit from slightly more width. Even bite. Very good perpendicular line. Lovely gentle expression in greeny – gold eyes which are full and round and set slightly obliquely. Large, tall ears with very good tufts, which he did not want to hold up today, I think the ear set is good but it was a little difficult to tell! Massive, long body and boning with real substance, he will be huge once he is fully grown and developed. Powerful neck and chest and very long limbs with strong round paws. Profuse coat which was prepared to the last hair, with a medium ruff and length still to develop. Coat quality and texture was excellent. Soft with a silky glossy top coat. Warm brown tabby coat pattern with excellent tabby markings, very prominent butterfly on the shoulders and with a split spine line and good oysters on the flanks. Long flowing tail. Lovely gentle giant, who will be one to watch in the future.
2 BENBOWS COONVIVIAL GUGLIELMO (64 31t) (27.07.06) Impressive young lad of almost 2 years of age and with very good Maine Coon type. Very good strong head with very high cheekbones and quite full cheeks. Strong square muzzle. He still has quite a long head and needs to broaden some more to gain real balance. Very good chin with a level bite and a good perpendicular line. Full, round eyes well set slightly obliquely. Very large, tall ears with good ear tufts, but he wasn’t playing either and wouldn’t put them up for us today. The placement looked very slightly flared, but it was difficult to tell! Another massive and long body, very good boning and substance with strong powerful chest and long limbs and strong round paws. Colder brown tabby and white coat pattern than my first placed cat but displaying very good pattern. Very good tabby markings to mask and legs, which a white spot on the nose, white feet and locket. Strong definition to the tabby pattern but a little solid along the spine line, with very good butterfly and oysters. Full and flowing coat with good length and a medium ruff, shirtfront and full breeches. Good coat quality and texture, well prepared, soft with a glossy top coat. Long flowing tail. Impressive lad but a little cross today.

1 BRIGLIADORI & ROBSON SHWECHINTHE PRIYA (13c3) (12.04.07) Lovely young female of almost 10 months of age. She has excellent Birman type and a super typically Birman expression. Strong rounded skull with good broad head and full round cheeks and muzzle. Lovely eyes of an excellent blue colour, almost round in shape and just a fraction deep set. Slight dip to profile with a little bump. Good firm chin and even bite. Medium ears, spaced well apart. Dark chocolate points colouring, more bitter than milk chocolate but definitely chocolate in shade. It is very unusual to see a chocolate with such depth of colour and a complete mask at this age. Markings paler on the legs. With slight brindling around the eyes and to the tail. Good even gloves. Almost even socks. Good long gauntlets, quite full in shape, and even and almost to the hocks. The left slightly trails around to the inside, Good long body with good body size & weight for her age with strong limbs and quite large paws. Very good pale ivory coat, very soft, silky and plush with no shading. Medium long coat just needs the ruff and coat length to develop now. Very well prepared as always. Slightly short bushy tail. Very promising female with a lovely temperament.
2 MADDEN PENBERIS DEMELZA (13c5) (06.02.07) Another lovely young female of just over a year in age and with very good Birman type. Strong rounded skull with a good broad head and full rounded cheeks and muzzle. Slight dip to profile. Medium ears set well apart. Very expressive blue eyes of an excellent colour and almost round in shape. Well set. Good dark red points colouring to ears and developing on the mask but with paper legs marking at present. Low scalloped gloves. Almost even socks. Medium to long gauntlets, full in shape and almost matched and even. Good long body with good boning and body weight for her age. Medium long thick set limbs and strong paws. Pale silky coat, with very slight golden hue to the shoulders and back but pale at the roots. Just needs length to develop. Well prepared. Short but bushy tail. Lovely temperament.

1 BEST & MATTHEWS TASSARE BOBBY DAZZLER (64 41sw) (26.05.07) I just loved this young Maine Coon; he has presence, temperament and type, a rare mixture. I liked him when I saw him as a kitten and he has really fulfilled his early promise. He is just over 9 months in age and has excellent Maine Coon type and fantastic substance and conformation for his age. Very strong skull with an excellent broad head, high cheekbones and a very strong square muzzle. Just very slight tarnishing on his mask. Very strong chin with a super perpendicular line and level bite. Super shallow curve to profile. Very expressive eyes, golden in colour, full, round and well set obliquely. Very typical open expression. Very large ears, tapering to a point, set high but well apart and with large ear tufts. Truly massive lad with a very long body, excellent boning and body conformation, particularly considering his age. Deep chest, substantial strong limbs and large round paws. Very silky coat with a lovely glossy topcoat clearly showing guard hairs, soft and silky in texture with good ruff and shirtfront developing. Very attractive classic silver tabby & white coat pattern, a little solid on the shoulders and back and with bib and paws. Very well prepared. Long tail, very well furnished. Lovely temperament.
2 HANDYS NORSKMAGI RAGNOR (67 31s) (02.03.07) Very handsome young NFC adult. I have judged this cat on many occasions and my report is hardly changed from my last report in January. He was very unlucky to meet the winner in this class today. He is now 11 months of age and has excellent NFC type and a typical NFC expression. Very good triangular head with a firm chin and a level bite. Straight profile. Large ears set very well and well furnished. Very expressive eyes, large, oval and green in colouring, very nicely set. Very good long body with substantial boning just lacking a little body weight at present, he is probably going through a growing spurt. Large paws with snowshoes. Typical NFC stance. Attractive coat pattern and despite his smoke colouring he has a very good coat quality and texture. Fabulous coat with a super full ruff and shirtfront. Very good coat quality with good harsh and glossy guard hairs and the woolly under coat quite evident underneath. Very good long tail, very well furnished. Well behaved today and easy to handle!

1 DAVIES GR CH RAGSHAVEN BUSTERS LEGACY (66 31a) (27.03.05) Handsome young Ragdoll neuter of almost 3 years of age with excellent Ragdoll type. Strong skull with broad head and a flat plane. Rounded very well developed cheeks. Good gentle dip in profile. Large, well furnished ears, tilted nicely forward, very well set and with good width between. Good chin and even bite. Very expressive eyes large and well opened, set slightly obliquely but set well apart. Excellent blue eye colour. Good blue – grey and white bi – colour markings. Very clean inverted v on mask and a pale bluish white hue to the coat but no white thumbprints. Very long and muscular body with excellent boning and body weight. Strong limbs with large but rounded paws. Soft silky coat quite dense and plush just needing the development of the coat length and a ruff to complete the picture. Very well prepared. Long tail, well furnished. Super boy with a lovely temperament
2 PERCIVALS CH HUGNHOLD SUMMER BREEZE (66w) (03.05.05) Lovely Ragdoll female of 2 ½ years of age with excellent Ragdoll type and a lovely expression. I judged this girl very recently and my report is almost the same. Broad head with a super flat plane and good width between the ears. Well rounded cheeks and muzzle. Could have a fraction more length to the head for perfection. Gentle dip to profile. Good chin and level bite. Large well opened eyes, slightly oblique and set well apart. Lovely even blue eye colour. Medium ears set wide apart and tilted slightly forward. With rounded tips. Good dark seal points with just slight brindling on the tail. Beige coat, soft and silky in texture, with some shading to the back but still giving good contrast. White chin and underbelly with white front mittens and white extending on the back legs up to the hocks. Long body with strong limbs and round paws. Substantial body weight. Slightly short tail. Lovely temperament

1 GREENS GR CH DEMILUNE JACINTA (13c2) (26.03.00) Beautiful veteran female of almost 8 years of age and with very good Birman type. Strong rounded skull with a good broad head and full rounded cheeks and muzzle. Chin would benefit from a little more depth. Level bite. Almost round eyes of an excellent even blue colour. Very well set. Typical Birman expression. Medium ears placed well apart. Good blue – grey points colouring to all points. Good slight dip to profile. Low scalloped gloves. Even socks. Low to medium long gauntlets, good full shape and almost matched and even. Good long body with medium thick set limbs and strong paws. Slightly light in bodyweight at present. Short but bushy tail. Lovely temperament.

He has a strong square muzzle and just needs time to broaden and mature. Good strong chin and good perpendicular line. Level bite. Good shallow curve to profile. Very expressive golden eyes, full and round and set slightly obliquely. Large, tall ears set high but well apart, super ears tufts. Very long body with substantial boning and very good body weight and conformation for his age. Substantial limbs with huge round paws. Very soft silky coat with long glossy guard hairs and a soft undercoat. Super classic silver tabby coat pattern. Very well prepared. Long well furnished tail. Well developed cheeks with a well rounded muzzle. Good strong chin and a level bite. Very dark almost graphite grey-blue points colouring. Gentle dip to profile. Excellent blue eye colouring with large well opened eyes, set well apart and slightly oblique. Medium ears set well apart on the head and with the typical forward tilt. Well furnished and with rounded tips. Very good body weight and substance for his age. With a long body and medium long, strong limbs and large rounded paws. Long bushy tail. Very well prepared coat, very soft and silky in texture and quite pale at present. Lovely kitten with a super temperament.

1 PERCIVALS BLEUGEMS TEDDIE BEAR (66 31) (08.08.07) Stunning young Ragdoll kitten of almost 7 months of age and with excellent Ragdoll type. Broad head with a lovely flat plane. Well developed cheeks and a well rounded muzzle. Chin could benefit from a little more depth but level bite. Gentle dip to profile. Very attractive and balanced inverted “v” on mask. Dark seal points colouring to the ears and mask and with 1 seal coloured spot on the left hind leg. Medium ears, placed well apart on the head and with the typical forward tilt. Well furnished and slightly rounded at the tips. Pale silky coat with 1 long thin white thumbprint on the back. Long body with good body weight for his age. Strong limbs and large rounded paws. Long bushy tail. Lovely temprement a very promising kitten with a very appropriate name!
2 MAXEYS MINELDA MIRACLE MAN (13c2) (16.07.07) Lovely young kitten of just 8 months of age and with very good Birman type. I judged this kitten in January and my report is similar to before. I was pleased that he was more relaxed today and that he was holding his ears up correctly!! Good strong skull and super broad head with full rounded cheeks. Medium ears just a little tall at present but well set apart. Almost round eyes of a good blue, slightly mottled greeny colour at the edges but well set. Slight dip in profile. Slightly weak chin but level bite. Good even blue – grey points colouring to all points with very slight brindling around the eyes. Very good long body with very good boning and weight for age. Thick set limbs and strong paws. Pale silky coat with just very slight shading to the back, pale at the roots, length developing nicely. Slightly low but almost even gloves. Slightly uneven socks. Good long gauntlets, almost to the hocks and almost matched but with the left having a slight trail off the top. Medium bushy tail. Good temperament.


AV SLH KITTEN FEMALE (6 – 9mths)
1 FINCHS SNOWWITCH KINGDOMOFSUMMER (13c2) (25.06.07) Lovely kitten of just 8 months of age with very good Birman type. I judged this kitten in January and my report is similar to before, she is a lovely kitten and is developing well. Strong skull and super broad head with full rounded cheeks. Almost round eyes which are a little pale in colour and are a fraction deep set. Ears are still a little tall at present but set well apart. Slight dip in profile. Good chin and even bite. Very pale coat developing nicely with a medium ruff and medium length developing well. No real shading to the shoulders and back. Good body weight and size for her age. Very well marked with good even gloves which extend very slightly at both sides, but not past the stopper pad. Slightly uneven socks. Good low to medium gauntlets, full shape, nicely matched and rounded at the ends. Medium bushy tail. Very promising kitten with a very sweet temperament.
2 BAILEYS CARAMLEIGH NICADAEMUSELISE (13c6) (25.07.07) Another lovely kitten with very good Birman type at just 7 months of age. Strong rounded skull, good broad head with full cheeks and a rounded muzzle. Very expressive almost round eyes with excellent deep blue eye colour and a lovely setting. Slight dip to profile with just a little bump. Slightly weak chin and slightly overshot bite. Ears slightly tall at present but well set apart. Lovely mottled seal tortie points to ears and mask, slightly paler on the legs, but all colours present on all points. Low scalloped gauntlets. Even socks. Medium length gauntlets, right quite thin in shape but the left is fuller. Even in length. Excellent coat for her age, pale and silky with no shading and good length developing. Slightly short but bushy tail. Lovely kitten with a super temperament, who will I am sure do very well in the future.

MAINE COON, NORWEGIAN FOREST OR SIBERIAN BREEDERS NEUTER
1 KESTLES COSCATHAS RENOWDEN (67 31t) (08.06.04) Almost mature NFC neuter of 3 ½ years with good type. I judger this lad in January and my report is little changed from then. Good triangle but due to his inverted V of white on his mask he tends to look shorter and more muzzly than he actually is. Broad nose bridge and parallel nose line between eyes and the nose leather. I would like to see this tapering more to a triangle. Almost straight profile. Chin could benefit from a little more depth. Very expressive large oval eyes, set obliquely and with a lovely gentle expression. Large ears, well opened and well furnished. Just a too little wide set for me and tilted a little too far forward. Excellent long and substantial body with strong limbs and large paws. Good snowshoes. Typical NFC stance, standing high on the back legs. Tail a little short but well furnished. Very good coat quality and texture. With excellent long harsh and glossy guard hairs and a well defined woolly undercoat. Full coat with a full ruff, shirtfront and knickerbockers, very well prepared and all white parts sparkling white. Lovely gentle temperament.

MAINE COON, NORWEGIAN FOREST OR SIBERIAN NON - BREEDERS NEUTER
1 ELSONS GR PR COONFLAKES TEARS OFTHESUN (64 31t) (11.05.06) Stylish young female of very good Maine coon type and just over 19 months old. I have judged this young girl very recently and my report is unchanged from then. Very strong skull with excellent broad head with high cheekbones and a strong square muzzle. Full round eyes, set wide apart and set slightly obliquely. Large tall ears, which are a fraction wide set, but very well furnished and with good ear tufts. Excellent long body with very substantial boning and long limbs with large paws. Shallow curve to profile. Chin could have a fraction more depth. Long flowing coat with very clear pattern, but a little cold in colour. Very soft, silky and well prepared. Tail could be a fraction longer, but well furnished. She was a little unhappy today, but she had been sick just before we got to her and that is probably why. I hope that she is soon feeling more this thing.
2 BUNCES KEVERSTONE SPJ RED LION (64 19) (28.12.06) Very striking red tabby Maine Coon, just over 1 year in age and of very good type. I judged him in January and my report is hardly changed from then. He is still a teenager and needs time for his head to broaden and mature. Strong skull, with good broad head, high cheekbones and a strong square muzzle. Chin could benefit from a little more depth. Level bite. Would like a little more curve to his profile. Very expressive eyes. Full and round eyes, set well apart but obliquely. Large, well furnished ears, set high but well apart. Super ear tufts. Massive long body with very substantial boning, long limbs and large paws. Very substantial and muscular cat with super body weight. Very soft silky coat with long glossy guard hairs and a soft undercoat. Super red classic tabby pattern. As always very well prepared. Very long well furnished tail. Super gentle temperament.

RESERVE HEALING & JONES GR PR JARRAKHATT BLUES SHADOW (67 31) (13.10.00) Very handsome and mature boy of 7 years of age with excellent type and a typically NFC expression. Very good triangular head with a lovely clean triangle. Almost straight profile and level bite. Good firm chin. Large ears with good width at the base, which are well set and well furnished. Expressive, large, oval eyes set obliquely and well opened. Long body with good strong boning. Solid, muscular conformation with long limbs and strong rounded paws and good snowshoes. Typical NFC stance. Very attractive black and white coat pattern. Very good coat quality with harsh but strong glossy guard hairs. Very good waterproof top coat. Lacking in sufficient woolly undercoat and quite short in length overall. No real ruff but with a good shirtfront and knickerbockers. Tail just long enough and a little lacking in furnishings today. A lovely mature lad, with a super gentle temperament who has a wonderful NFC expression.

IGPR – COWARDS IMP GR PR NORDLEYS GISELLE (67 31ts) (31.03.05) A beautiful young female with a lovely expression and excellent NFC type, who I have had the privilege to judge on a number of occasions before. She is almost 3 years of age now, although she was the only cat present today she was a very worthy winner and I was very pleased to see her go overall Best In Show later in the day. Excellent triangular head with an absolutely straight profile. Although she does have a slightly bulbous nose which is a little spread towards the front of her muzzle. Good chin and level bite. Very expressive large oval eyes, set obliquely and well opened. Large ears, with good width at the base, with a lovely setting and super ear furnishings. Long body, substantial boning with good long limbs and large rounded paws. Coat just a little soft but still showing very good quality and texture and with a distinctive double coat. Strong glossy guard hairs with a well developed woolly undercoat. Very attractive classic silver tabby pattern with white as always beautifully prepared and presented. Excellent full coat including full ruff, shirtfront and knickerbockers. Long tail, well furnished. Super gentle girl with a lovely temperament who is a credit to her owners.

BOB ROSS’S CH NORSKWOOD GREEBO (67 20) (29.08.06) Huge, substantial lad of almost 1 ½ years of age. He has a lovely NFC expression and excellent type. Very good triangular head and straight profile. Large ears with good width at the base, just slightly wide set but well furnished. Chin could benefit from a little more depth, level bite. Lovely expression with well opened, large oval eyes, with a lovely oblique setting. Huge, long lad with very strong boning and a substantial and muscular body. With long limbs and large rounded paws. Excellent coat quality with a super coat quality and texture. Harsh and glossy guard hairs with a super strong but woolly undercoat, with a definite change in texture and superb contrast in texture. Long tail with good furnishings. Typical NFC stance. Lovely gentle boy.
1CC MORRIS’S S*MAR MICHEL’S CHORITZO (67 18f) (03.09.04) Large gentle lad of good NFC type of just over 3 years of age. Good triangular head with an almost straight profile, just a little spread at the front of the muzzle. He does tend to puff out his whisker pads slightly and this makes him look slightly short. Firm chin and level bite. Very pretty and expressive greeny-gold eyes, a little small but oval and set slightly obliquely. Large ears, a little rounded at the tips and slightly too wide set on the head. Good coat quality and texture with good glossy and harsh guard hairs and a slightly softer and woollier undercoat. With a good full ruff, knickerbockers and shirtfront. Very sweet and gentle lad.
2 HOWARDS NOYNAROCK SAXON PRINCE (67 18) (11.04.06) Young lad of almost 2 years of age of fair NFC type. Slightly short triangular head with an almost straight profile and a slightly weak chin. Large but slightly rounded eyes with an oblique setting. Slightly small ears which are well set and well furnished with very good tufts. Quite harsh guard hairs to the top coat and saddle but the rest of the coat was very soft and very woolly and does not really give the defined waterproof double coat required of the breed. Good long body with long limbs and strong paws. Good body weight and substance. Short well furnished tail. Gentle temperament.

1CC TIPPERS NORSVANA SILVANA STAR (67 18a) (01.07.05) Young female of 2 ½ years of age with an excellent NFC look and type. She has developed and matured very nicely since I saw her last. Super triangular shaped head with an almost straight profile. Good strong chin and level bite. Large ears, very well set and furnished, she does have slightly rounded tips to the ears, which does detract from her alert look at a little. Very attractive green eyes which are large, oval and obliquely set and with a lovely expression. Good long body with good boning would just like her to carry more bodyweight and overall substance, but I suspect that is due to the time of year. Strong limbs and large rounded paws. Typical NFC stance, standing high on the back legs. Very good coat quality and texture with long harsh glossy guard hairs and a strong woolly undercoat. The cost quality is just a fraction soft today but I suspect that she has been recently bathed!! Very well prepared. Very good full ruff, shirtfront and knickerbockers. Long tail, very well furnished. Lovely gentle temperament. Super stylish female, who was a worthy winner today.
2 GRANTS NOYNAROCK INKERI (67 18e) (07.05.07) Young female of just over 9 months of age who has very good type. She and my 3rd placed cat are litter sisters and type wise there is little to separate them from the winner today, but my winner just had the edge in terms of maturity and coat development. I particularly liked the ears and ear set of this cat and she was absolutely beautifully prepared which was a pleasure to see. Very good triangular head, very harmonious and balanced head. Almost straight profile and a good firm chin. Slightly bulbous nose. Level bite. Good large oval eyes which are set just a fraction deep. Very large ears with those super tufts that you hardly ever see in NFC’s!! Very well furnished and with a super setting. Long body with strong limbs and large round paws. Strong cat and good frame but just needs to fill out her frame and build up her body weight a little. Excellent coat quality and texture with a really rich and beautiful bright tortie silver tabby coat pattern. Strong glossy guard hairs and good woolly undercoat very well developed for her age and with exception preparation on the day. Long very well furnished tail. Very sweet and gentle girls who is a real credit to her owner / breeders and who will I am sure do very well in the future.
3 JEPSON & HOYS NOYNAROCK NYELLIE (67 20) (07.05.07) Another young female litter sister to my 2nd placed cat. Type wise and size wise I think this little girl just has the edge over her sister, but unfortunately she was quite poorly prepared and her coat was quite greasy, especially behind her ears and underneath. Very good triangular head, again she has a very harmonious and balanced head. Almost straight profile and a good firm chin. Level bite. Beautiful eyes and expression , large oval eyes which are very well set. Very large ears again with great ear tufts. Very well furnished and very well set. Good long body with strong limbs and large round paws. Slightly longer and with good body weight for her age. Very good coat quality and texture with a very attractive tortie tabby coat pattern. Strong glossy guard hairs and good woolly undercoat very well developed for her age, but would benefit from more preparation in future. Long very well furnished tail. Another lovely girl with a very sweet temperament.

Good triangular head but quite narrow at the front of the triangle at present. Firm chin and level bite. Quite large but round eyes, well set obliquely. Good large ears, very well set and well furnished. Excellent long body with super strong boning and very good body weight. Strong limbs and large rounded paws. Good coat quality and texture with double coat apparent and coat length developing nicely. She would benefit from more show preparation. Brown tabby coat pattern. Lovely temperament.

Good chin and level bite. Quite large ears set very well and well furnished but could be a fraction bigger and more open set. Very expressive golden eyes, Large and oval, well opened but set just a fraction deep. Very long body with very good boning and substantial weight, strong limbs and large round paws. Good snowshoes. Typical NFC stance, standing high on the back legs. Pure blue coat colour, very well prepared. Very good coat quality and texture with long glossy guard hairs and a dense undercoat well developed. Typical double coat, clearly waterproof and of good quality. Long tail, very well furnished. Super young female with a lovely temperament.
2 MORRIS’S UK GR CH LITTLE TIN SOLDIER FELIS AUDAX DK (Imp) (67 14b) (5.7.98) A lovely veteran lad of almost 10 years of age. Very distinguished air to this boy and he had a lovely gentle temperament. Good NFC type. Very good triangular head but with a quite squared off muzzle now. Almost straight profile and slightly weak chin. Lovely large oval eyes, well opened and set and giving a lovely NFC expression. Ears are really one size too small but very well furnished. Very substantial lad but quite short in body length. With a deep chest, very strong limbs and large rounded paws. Excellent snowshoes. Good coat quality but overall quite a woolly texture. He has a lot of coat but unfortunately he had a number of knots and holes in his coat today. Good harsh, glossy guard hairs to his top coat and good full coat with a medium ruff, full shirtfront and good knickerbockers. Pure white coat. Lovely to see this old gent out on the show bench again.

Large ears which are well furnished but just a fraction wide set at present. Very long body with excellent boning and substance for his age. With strong limbs and huge rounded paws! Excellent coat quality and texture. Long glossy guard hairs and the woolly undercoat already developing well. Tail is just long enough at present, so let’s hope it grows with him. Lovely young lad, showing great promise. Super temperament.
2 GRANTS NOYNAROCK CARMIN (67 31s) (7.11.07) Lovely young female just old enough to be there on the day and with very good NFC type. Lovely triangular head with a super straight profile. Good firm chin and level bite. Large well furnished ears which are very well set. Expressive eyes, large and well opened, well set and slightly oblique. Attractive black smoke coat with just one white paw! Long body with good boning and body weight for her age. Very soft kitten coat, texture and length still developing but with long glossy guard hairs already apparent. Super temperament.

1 HIGHAMS PR NOYNAROCK JOHAN (67 19) (19.4.06) I just loved this Red tabby boy, he was my Judges choice today and I think he has a very promising future ahead of him. He has excellent NFC type and very good body and confirmation for his age. He is almost 2 years old. Excellent triangular head with a straight profile and a good firm chin. Very expressive large and well opened eyes. Oval in shape and with a super oblique setting. Good long body with very good boning and very good body weight and substance. Strong limbs and large rounded paws. Typical NFC stance, high on the back legs. Excellent coat quality and texture with long and glossy guard hairs and a well developed woolly undercoat, clearly double and suitably waterproof. Very attractive red tabby coat pattern Lovely gentle temperament and a pleasure to handle, I look forward to seeing him again sometime.
2 SWALES NOYNAROCK LOKI SVALSON (67 20) (9.12.06) Young NFC lad of just over a year in age and of good type. Good triangular head shape with an almost straight profile, however he has quite a broad bridge and a broad almost parallel line between the eyes and the nose leather. I would like to see this aspect of his profile more refined and triangular. Large well opened eyes which are slightly deep set. Large ears, well furnished but a little too wide set. Firm chin and level bite. Very long body with very good boning and excellent body weight and substance. Strong limbs and large rounded paws. Slightly short but well furnished tail. Excellent coat quality and texture. Very good double coat and super long glossy guard hairs to the top coat. Lovely gentle boy, super temperament.

1 DEANS VOLSUNG XERXES (67 19) (20.04.04) Lovely young lad of good NFC type who is now almost 4 years of age. Good triangular head could be a fraction longer for perfection. Straight profile and good strong chin. Level bite. Large ears which are a fraction wide set, but very well furnished. Lovely expressive eyes. Large, well opened and set obliquely. Very long and substantial body. Excellent body weight and strong boning. Strong limbs and large rounded paws. Very attractive red tabby coat pattern. Very good double coat with definite contrast in texture. Very good woolly undercoat, top coat is just a fraction soft today. I suspect this is due to him being recently bathed! Even so he does have strong harsher guard hairs to his top coat. Long, very well furnished tail. He is a lovely gentle boy but was a little overwhelmed by the day and quite nervous and hence did not show himself off to advantage.

BOB SEMOS GR PR PRIDENJOY PUCK (13c4) (15.05.02) Lovely gentle lad of excellent Birman type, who just had the edge on the certificate winner today in terms of maturity and coat. He is now almost 6 years of age. Strong broad but rounded skull with super broad head and full very rounded cheeks and muzzle. Almost round eyes with nice blue eye colour, he was a little nervous today and that did not show his expression off to its full advantage. Medium ears set well apart. Slight dip to profile but with a little bump. Chin could be deeper, level bite. Long body with excellent strong limbs, medium long and thick set. Excellent body weight and substance. Good even gloves both extend slightly up to the sides but not past the stopper pad. Even socks. Medium long gauntlets, of good full shape, almost matched and even, but just slightly pointed out and offset towards the ends. Lovely even pinkie – lilac point’s markings. Super pale coat. Very thick, plush and full with a full ruff framing the face. In fabulous condition and very well prepared. Long bushy tail. Lovely boy.
1 PC GARDENERS SNOWWITCH FRANKINCENSE (13c4) (20.02.07) A lovely young lad with a super typically Birman expression. Although he was the only one in the class he was a worthy certificate winner, especially as he is not quite a year old. Very good Birman type. Strong rounded skull with a super broad head and reasonably full and rounded cheeks. He still needs a little more fullness to the muzzle for perfection but I am sure that will come with time. The slight brindling on his muzzle does lead him to look a little more pinched than he actually is. He is also a little brindled around the eyes and to his tail. Beautiful, almost round eyes of a very good deep blue, with a super setting, I just loved his expression and eye shape. Slight dip in profile with a little bump. Slightly weak chin but level bite. Ears still a little tall at present but well set apart. Massive lad with a long body and strong, medium long thick set limbs, with large paws. Excellent body weight and muscular conformation. Very good pale and silky coat. Good medium long coat length just lacking the development of the ruff at present to frame his face. Slightly scalloped gloves, which tapers slightly to the side. Slightly uneven socks. Very good medium length gauntlets, good full shape, almost matched and even and nicely tapered. Lovely pinkie – lilac markings, just slightly paler on the legs and tail. Slightly short but bushy tail. Lovely gentle temperament, very promising young lad.

TABBY & TORTIE – TABBY POINT BIRMAN NEUTER
Although he was the only cat present in this category today, this exhibit is a beautiful cat who is always turned out in excellent style and is a credit to his owner/breeder; he was a very worthy BOB winner.

Strong rounded skull and lovely broad head and good rounded cheeks, for perfection I would like slightly more fullness to the front portion of his muzzle. Chin would benefit from a little more depth, even bite. Slight dip to profile with just a slight bump. Beautiful and expressive deep blue eyes, almost round in shape and very well set. Good dark seal brown points colouring to mask ears and tail, he still retains the reddish / chocolaty area around his nose which along with the slight lack of fullness there, for me just detracts slightly. Very strong and well defined tabby markings to mask and legs. With a well defined “M”, good spectacles and slightly spotted whisker pads. Pinkish nose leather. Medium ears, well spaced apart and showing strong tabby thumbprints. Very long body with a deep chest and medium long thick set limbs and strong paws. Substantial body weight and muscular conformation. Gloves good, the right extends slightly to the side but both close. Socks almost match. Good shape gauntlets, even, matching and short in length with slightly blunt endings. Full very pale beige coat, silky and soft, and with every hair prepared. Full medium length coat with a lovely full ruff and shirtfront framing the face. Slightly shaded to the shoulders and back but still pale at the roots. Medium bushy tail with tabby tail rings and a solid tip to the tail. Lovely gentle lad with a super temperament.

1 DEAR & COOPERS PICNMIX VALA (13c1) (15.02.07) Lovely young female who I have judged on several occasions before, she is almost a year old now and it is super to see her fulfilling her early promise. She has excellent Birman type and I just love her expression for her age she has a very balanced and harmonious head. Strong rounded skull with good broad head and full round cheeks and muzzle. Lovely good blue eyes, almost round in shape and very well set. Slight dip to profile with a little bump. Firm chin and even bite. Medium ears, spaced well apart. Good dark seal brown points colouring to ears, and mask and just slightly paler on the legs. Slight brindling to the tail. Even but slightly low scalloped gloves, right extends to the stopper pad but not beyond. Slightly uneven socks. Good medium length gauntlets, quite full in shape, nicely tapered and almost matched & even. Good long body with quite good body size & weight for her age with medium strong and quite large paws. I would just like to see her grow and put on a little more weight. Very good pale beige coat, very soft and silky with just slight shading to the shoulders and back. Medium long coat with a medium ruff developed already. Slightly short bushy tail. Still a bit of a “huffer” but quite easy to handle.
2 MASONS FELONIE STARDUST (13c13) (11.07.06) Another lovely female of about 18 months of age with good Birman type. Strong rounded skull with a very broad head and full rounded cheeks. She has quite a short head and for me it is a little too rounded in the overall shape, I feel she is just lacking a little depth in the muzzle to give her that heart shape, which is typically Birman. Firm chin and level bite. Slight dip to the profile. Very expressive eyes of a fabulous deep blue, almost round in shape but I would like them slightly larger, very well set. Medium ears well set apart and showing tabby thumbprints. Good chocolate tabby markings to the mask, with a well defined “M”, good spectacles and good spotted whisker pads, slightly reddish around the pinkish nose leather. Good body weight for her size but I would like her to have stronger boning and a longer body, strong paws. Paler leg markings with tabby barring present on front legs. Very good feet markings with good gloves and gauntlets. Very pale and silky ivory coat, medium length with full ruff and shirtfront, excellent preparation. Medium bushy tail with tabby tail rings and a slight reddish tone. A lovely girl, who was a little cross today.

I judged this girl two weeks ago and my report is unchanged from then. Broad head with a super flat plane and good width between the ears. Well rounded cheeks and muzzle. Gentle dip to profile. Good chin and level bite. Large well opened eyes, slightly oblique and set well apart. Lovely even blue eye colour. Good dark seal points with just slight brindling on the tail. Beige coat, soft and silky in texture. White chin and underbelly with white front mittens and white extending on the back legs up to the hocks. Long body with strong limbs and round paws. Substantial body weight. Lovely temperament
2 CANNS SNOWSPRITE IZERLADY (66 31) (29.06.06) Young female of 18 months of age with fair Ragdoll type. This young girl is at a difficult stage of her development at the moment. Strong skull, but currently her head is a little small in perspective to her body and has a more rounded than flat forehead. Quite rounded cheeks. Gentle dip in profile. Large ears but set just a little too tall with not quite enough width between them. Large eyes, slightly pale blue eye colour, set obliquely. Lots of white hairs intermingled into the seal but outside of her white inverted v on her mask. Quite strong boning but I would like to see her with a longer body. Medium long coat, just at that seasonal change and a little harsh in texture. Just 1 thumb print on her back, otherwise clear coat with seal over tones. A little nervous today, but very sweet girl.

1 SANDERS VANJMALI CRONUS BLU (13wbl) (30.06.07) Super kitten of just 7 months of age with excellent type. Good broad wedge to the head with a medium nose and very slight dip, for perfection he just needs a little more breadth to his muzzle. Firm chin and level bite. Good sized ears placed high on the head and well set. Lovely expressive eyes, large, oval eyes, pale blue in colour. Pink nose leather. Substantial body, long and well grown with very good boning and weight for his age. Medium legs and neat well rounded paws. Long tail, very well furnished. Very soft white coat, very silky and extremely well prepared, length still developing. Really lovely kitten with a super temperament.
2 BARTLETTS COONFLAKES MICHIGAN (64 41w) (02.07.07) Handsome Maine Coon kitten of almost 7 months of age and of very good Maine Coon type. Strong skull with a balanced head and muzzle. However, although he has a strong square muzzle I would like to see a little more width to both the head and cheeks. Good high cheekbones with a firm chin and level bite. Good shallow curve to profile. Very expressive eyes, full and round and set slightly obliquely. Large, tall ears set high but well apart, super ears tufts. Very long body with substantial boning and very good body weight and conformation for his age. Substantial limbs with large round paws. Very soft silky coat with long glossy guard hairs and a soft undercoat. Super classic brown tabby & white coat pattern, with a white inverted v to the mask, white paws and shirtfront. Very well prepared. Excellent butterfly to the shoulders. Long well furnished tail. Vero promising kitten with a super temperament.

Large tall ears, which looked a little flared in set on the day , but this could be because she didn’t want to hold them up!! Excellent long body with very substantial boning and long limbs with large paws. Shallow curve to profile. Chin could have a fraction more depth. Long flowing coat with very clear pattern, but a little cold in colour. Very soft, silky and well prepared. Tail could be a fraction longer, but well furnished. Lovely temperament.

He is still a teenager and needs time for his head to broaden and mature. Strong skull, with good broad head, high cheekbones and a strong square muzzle. Chin could benefit from a little more depth. Level bite. Good shallow curve to profile. Very expressive eyes. Full and round eyes, set well apart but obliquely. Large, well furnished ears, set high but well apart. Super ear tufts. Massive long body with very substantial boning, long limbs and large paws. Very substantial and muscular cat with super body weight. Very soft silky coat with long glossy guard hairs and a soft undercoat. Super red classic tabby pattern. Very well prepared. Very long well furnished tail. Super gentle temperament.

Strong skull with broad head and a flat plane. Rounded very well developed cheeks. Super gentle dip in profile. Large, well furnished ears, tilted nicely forward, very well set and with good width between. Good chin and even bite. Very expressive eyes large and well opened, set slightly obliquely but set well apart. Excellent blue eye colour. Very good dark seal brown points marking. Very substantial boning and body weight with a long body and strong limbs with large but rounded paws. Soft silky coat quite dense and with very good length, full ruff and shirtfront and knickerbockers, very well prepared. Quite a lot of shading to the back but still showing good contrast. Very well prepared. Long tail, well furnished. Lovely temperament
2 FLEMING GR PR NORACOON RIGANTONE (64 31ets) (29.10.02) Very pretty Maine Coon female of just over 4 years of age of very good type. Strong skull, with a good broad head, high cheekbones and a very strong square muzzle. Expressive, full, round eyes, set wide apart and slightly obliquely. Large, tall ears, set a fraction wide apart on the head, but with fantastic ear tufts. Shallow curve to profile. Strong chin and level bite. Very long substantial body with strong, long limbs and large paws. Soft, silky coat with well defined undercoat, very well prepared. A pretty attractive Silver Tortie tabby coat pattern. Slightly short tail. A little cross today.

BOB Withheld 1 SIMMONDS GAYEMAUDI MARIA (13c1) (12.05.07)Lovely girl with excellent type of 8 months of age, I was really sorry to have to withhold the BOB but unfortunately I did not feel that her show preparation was acceptable today. Strong rounded skull and lovely broad head with full rounded cheeks. Very expressive almost round eyes with excellent even deep blue eye colour, giving her a lovely Birman expression. Good dip in profile, with a good chin and just very slightly overshot at present. Strong seal points to all points developing nicely, she just has some brindling to her whisker pads at present. Ears are slightly tall at present but well set apart. Long body with very good body weight and substance for her age. With strong limbs and large paws. Low slightly scalloped gloves. Low but even socks. Medium length gauntlets, quite full in shape but both have a slightly uneven and untidy inside line to them, almost even in shape and size. Very heavily chalked! Good pale and medium length coat for her age with good length, however it was a little claggy underneath and quite greasy behind the ears. Medium bushy tail. Very sweet temperament.
2 WELCHS CAROONA TEAH MAREAH (13c1) (08.08.07) Super kitten of just 5 months of age with very good Birman type, however, I can see she could become a little madam, she was very talkative today!! Strong rounded skull with a broad head and nicely rounded cheeks. Very good blue eye colour, almost round in shape and very well set, with a very sweet expression. Good slight dip in profile with a good chin and even bite. Quite brindled around her eyes and on her tail at present but other than that her seal marking are starting to develop. Good dark ears, but her mask is not yet complete and her legs are very pale at present. Medium ears, well set apart. Good body weight for age with boning developing well. Strong limbs and paws. Quite short coat at present very pale with just a slight golden over glow but no real shading, very silky. Well prepared. Very low and scalloped gloves but acceptable. Slightly uneven socks. Medium length gauntlets, good shape and quite even with the right ending in a point and left more rounded off. Super kitten, showing great promise.
3 MOORES CLANKENN EMELLE (13c1) (21.06.07) Kitten of 7 months of age with good Birman type. Good strong skull with broad head and quite pinched cheeks at present. Almost round eyes which are a good blue and well set. Good slight dip in profile. Slightly weak chin but level bite. Ears a little tall at present but well set apart. Good seal points markings developing well. Good long body with good bodyweight and boning for her age. Strong limbs and paws. Good even gloves but both stretch diagonally across each paw. The right glove extends to the stopper pad at the back but not beyond. Good even socks. Medium gauntlets, good shape and size and with quite pointed endings. Unfortunately the gloves were quite yellowish today which did detract a little. Silky, pale coat, quite short at present and a little cold in colour but developing nicely and well prepared. Slightly short tail. Sweet kitten with a lovely temperament.
4 PIKES CAROONA DUTCH’S FIRST BORN (13c1) (08.08.07) Lovely type kitten of just 5 months of age with excellent Birman type. For her age she has a very balanced and harmonious head. She has slightly more coat and heavier boning than her sister but I felt that her markings let her down. Lovely strong skull and broad rounded head with full rounded cheeks. Good dip in profile. Strong chin and even bite. Currently she is quite brindled to her mask and tail but otherwise has good dark seal points markings. Medium ears, set well apart. Lovely almost round eyes with good blue eye colour which is a nice even colour in the centre but a little pale at the rims at present. Pale silky kitten coat with good medium length and quite full for her age, well prepared. Extremely low and scalloped gloves, but acceptable all toes covered! Almost even socks. 5 MASONS AMILLIANA MIZZ ATTITUDE (13c1) (17.06.07) 7 month old kitten with good Birman type. Good rounded skull but quite narrow pinched cheeks at present. Almost round eyes, with pale and quite mottled eye colour which is a little greeney at the rims. Slight dip in profile. Slightly weak chin and slightly overshot bite. Ears are a little tall at present. Dark seal points developing but very brindled to the whisker pads and tail at the moment. Very generous gloves which are almost even and do not extend past the stopper pad. Almost even socks. Medium gauntlets of good shape and size but both trail off the top slightly, making them a bit untidy. Very good body weight and substance for her age. Strong limbs and paws. Pale coat, quite soft and silky but with some shading to the shoulders and back. Pale at the roots. Long bushy tail. Very sweet kitten with a lovely temperament.

1 MAXEYS MINELDA MIRACLE MAN (13c2) (16.07.07) 6 month old kitten of good Birman type. Good strong skull and super broad head with full rounded cheeks. I was a little concerned about this kittens ears. I am not sure if he was stressed as he handled well, but he was holding his ears in a bonneted position, tilted forward, so it was very difficult to assess their correct placement. I hope that this was just nerves on the day and this will resolve as he settles into his show career. Almost round eyes of a good blue, slightly mottled at the edges, well set. Slight dip in profile. Slightly weak chin but level bite. Good even blue – grey points colouring to all points with very slight brindling around the eyes. Very good long body with very good boning and weight for age. Thick set limbs and strong paws. Pale silky coat with just very slight shading to the back, pale at the roots, length developing. Slightly low but almost even gloves. Uneven socks. Good long gauntlets, almost to the hocks and almost matched but with the left having a slight trail off the top. Medium bushy tail. Good temperament.
2 FINCHS MENTOBE SNOWWITCH STORM (13c2) (02.08.07) Lovely kitten with excellent Birman type of just 5 months of age. I was very sorry to see that this kitten has currently has a very overshot bite and therefore I was not able to place him higher, this was confirmed by the duty vet on the day. Strong skull and lovely broad head with very full and rounded cheeks. Almost round eyes with good deep blue eye colour, well set, giving a lovely typically Birman expression. Excellent size and substance on this boy with a long body and thick set limbs and strong paws. Good pale coat with a medium ruff already and a soft and silky texture. Very good soft blue – grey points colouring, just slightly paler on his legs. Low scalloped gloves. Even socks. Medium long, nicely shaped and tapered gauntlets. Medium bushy tail. A lovely kitten with a super temperament, such a shame about his bite.

Almost round eyes which are a little pale in colour and are a fraction deep set. Ears are a little tall at present but set well apart. Slight dip in profile. Good chin and even bite. Pale coat a little harsh at present and with length still to develop, very pale and with no shading. Good body weight and size for her age. Very well marked with good even gloves, slightly uneven socks, Good low to medium gauntlets, full shape, nicely matched and tapered. Medium bushy tail. Very sweet temperament.
2 SUTTIE ADSETLO TWOULRIKA (13c2) (15.05.07) Another super kitten of 8 months of age with very good Birman type. Good strong skull with broad head and nicely rounded cheeks. Slight dip in profile. Good chin and even bite. Medium ears set wide apart. Almost round eyes of a nice blue which are quite deep set. Very good body weight and substance for her age. With medium body length and limbs and strong paws. Very good pale coat with a medium ruff and pale silky coat. No shading to the back and very well prepared. Nice even gloves but unfortunately the right extends just past the stopper pad at the back. Even socks. Good medium length gauntlets, good shape and nicely tapered. Medium bushy tail. Lovely temperament.

2 MADDENS PANJANDRUM CALLMEMADAM (13c12) (10.10.07) Very pretty and sweet kitten who was only just old enough to attend on the day. Unfortunately this kitten is at a very difficult stage of her development and due to this and a concern over a possible squint I was very sad to have to withhold the 1st and BOB today. Strong but quite narrow skull with very narrow cheeks giving an almost triangular appearance at present. She has a very pronounced bump on her forehead and also towards the front of her profile at the moment and therefore has an almost imperceptible dip in her profile which is not correct. Stunning deep blue eye colour but unfortunately when we appraised her she was quite nervous and her eyes did not look quite right. I called the duty vet who agreed that there was a possible squint in the left eye. Later in the day when I talked to her owners, her eyes did look better so hopefully this was nerves and will resolve itself as she develops more confidence. Good chin and even bite. Ears are huge at present and set quite high on the head, they need time for her to grow into them. Low scalloped gloves. Even socks. Low to medium gauntlets almost matched and even. Very good blue grey points colouring and very strong tabby markings, with good spectacles, spotted whisker pads and pink nose leather. Pale tabby barring on legs but not on tail at present. Short and fluffy kitten texture to the pale coat. A solid kitten with good body weight for her frame but she is still smaller than I would like to see at this stage and she needs time to develop and grow. Very sweet kitten with a lovely gentle temperament.

1 MUSWELLS NORSKEXTREME DESMOND (67 20) (17.07.07) A lovely kitten of 6 months, with a lovely typical NFC expression and very good type. Very good triangular head with an almost straight profile. Large ears with a super setting, following the lines of the head, very well furnished. Chin needs just a little more depth but level bite. Large, well opened, very expressive eyes, with a lovely shape and oblique setting. Very good long body with excellent strong boning and good body weight for age, with broad chest, strong limbs, large paws and good snowshoes. Attractive but quite cold brown tabby coat. Excellent coat quality and texture for his age with very long strong and glossy guard hairs and an obvious double coat texture already evident. Very well prepared. Tail only just long enough at this stage and may become short as he continues to grow but well furnished. Super, very playful kitten with a lovely temperament a real little character.

NFC type who is almost 6 months of age. Good triangular head but for this stage of his development I would like to see it a fraction longer. Almost straight profile, but when you feel the bone there is a definite dip in the bone which again may become more apparent with time. He also has a tendency to puff out his whisker pads which can make him look quite muzzly. Slightly weak chin and level bite. Large ears open at base, well set but quite rounded at the tips which does detract from his alert natural expression, very well furnished. Large expressive eyes, lovely golden colour and set obliquely, but today they looked a little round. Good long body with excellent boning, substance and large paws. Typical NFC stance. Excellent coat quality and texture with strong and glossy guard hairs and the double undercoat coming through already. Very well prepared. Attractive Brown tabby and white coat pattern. Long well furnished tail. Super temperament, very sweet kitten..

1 VAN POST NORDLINGDROM BLISS (67 22) (23.07.07) Very sweet kitten of good NFC type at just 6 months of age. Good triangular head. Straight profile. Chin would benefit from a little more depth but she has a level bite. Medium sized ears, that could be one size larger, open at base, well furnished and well set. Large expressive eyes, pretty greeny colour set obliquely but looking a little round. Currently she is a medium boned and sized cat for her age. She is quite fine boned and a little lacking in body weight with medium strong limbs, however she does have very large paws, so perhaps in time she will develop more strength. Excellent coat quality and texture with strong and very glossy guard hairs and double coat quite evident. Coat length still to develop and she currently has no ruff. Long and well furnished tail. Very pretty black tortie coat pattern with a distinctive red stripe on her nose. Lovely sweet temperament but needs to grow.

Medium ears set well apart. Good even gloves. Even socks. Medium long gauntlets which are a good shape and nicely tapered. Good long body with thick set limbs and strong paws. Good body weight and substance. Very good full coat with lovely full ruff framing her face. Soft pale coat with just a bluish white tinge of shading to the shoulders and back. Very well prepared. 2 HANDYS NORSKMAGI RAGNOR (67 31s) (02.03.07) Very handsome young NFC adult. I have had the pleasure of judging this cat on a number of occasions and it is super to see him fulfilling his promise as he progresses into adulthood. He is still just 10 months of age and has excellent NFC type and a typical NFC expression. Very good triangular head with a firm chin and a level bite. He has now grown into his triangle, he no longer seems to puff out his whisker pads and has a much cleaner triangle as a result. Straight profile. Large ears set very well and well furnished. Very expressive eyes, large, oval and green in colouring, very nicely set. Very good long body with substantial boning and excellent body weight. Large paws with snowshoes. Typical NFC stance. Attractive coat pattern and despite his smoke colouring he has a very good coat quality and texture. Fabulous coat with a super full ruff and shirtfront. Very good coat quality with good harsh and glossy guard hairs and the woolly under coat quite evident underneath. Very good long tail, very well furnished. He was a little tetchy today, but hopefully this is just him trying his luck and it will not develop any further.

years with good type. Good triangle but due to his inverted V of white on his mask he tends to look shorter and more muzzly than he actually is. Firm chin and almost straight profile, he does have quite a wide nose bridge. Very expressive large oval eyes, set obliquely and with a lovely gentle expression. Large ears, well opened and well furnished. Just a too little wide set for me and tilted a little too far forward. Excellent long and substantial body with strong limbs and large paws. Good snowshoes. Tail only just long enough but well furnished. Very good coat quality and texture. With excellent long harsh and glossy guard hairs and a well defined woolly undercoat. Very well prepared. Lovely gentle temperament.
