Thank you to Nicky Butler, who came along especially to steward for me we had a very busy day with he Somali show too but she did a fantastic job , keeping me focused on the job in hand. GRCC BAILEYS CH NICADAEMUS ROMANY MAGIC (13c2) (19.1.08) I was so pleased when his owner told me later in the day that this certificate had made him up, he really looked fabulous today and was a worthy winner. Very well done to his breeder/owner. Handsome young Birman lad of just over a year in age with excellent Birman type. Strong skull with good broad head and lovely full rounded cheeks. Very expressive almost round eyes of a very good blue, well set, just slightly deep. Medium ears set well apart but still just a fraction tall. Slightly weak chin, level bite. Lovely dip to profile with a very slight bump. Lovely even blue – grey colouring to all points. Long body with excellent boning and body weight. Strong limbs and large paws. Excellent full pale coat, soft and silky and very well prepared. Medium ruff and shirtfront framing the head. Slightly low scalloped gloves, right slightly longer than left. Slightly uneven socks. Excellent medium long gauntlets, very good full shape and almost matched and even. Medium bushy tail. Just slightly brindled. Lovely gentle lad with a super temperament.

Strong rounded skull with a lovely broad head, full cheeks and super rounded muzzle. Very good dark seal brown points colouring. Very expressive, almost round eyes of an excellent blue, very well set. Slightly weak chin and level bite. Good slight dip in profile. Medium ears set well apart. Slightly low gloves. Socks even. Medium to long gauntlets, quite narrow and thin but even in shape and quite pointed. Long body with good body weight and substance. Medium long thick set limbs and strong paws. Soft silky coat but very shady, almost to the roots in places. Good full coat and ruff framing the face. Slightly short bushy tail. A little cross with us but handled well.
2 BUSHS KUTAZA KAILIF (13c1) (28.1.08) Another handsome Birman lad, just over a year in age and with very good Birman type. Good dark seal brown points colouring to all points. Strong rounded skull, broad head with full cheeks and lovely rounded muzzle. Good slight dip to profile with a little bump. Firm chin and level bite. Medium ears spaced wide apart. Almost round eyes with good blue eye colouring well set. Low, scalloped gloves. Even socks. Very uneven gauntlets, right is very low, slightly misshapen and with a quite untidy ending. Left is medium in length and nicely shaped and tapered. Excellent long body with excellent body weight and substance, medium thick set limbs and large paws. Very pale coat, soft and silky, quite short in length with no ruff at present and length still to develop. Medium long bushy tail. Sweet lad with a gentle temperament, shame about his markings.

Strong skull with a super broad head with full cheeks and lovely rounded muzzle. Super expressive almost round eyes of a very good even blue. Very well set. Medium ears set well apart. Firm chin and level bite. Slight dip to profile. Excellent dark seal brown points colouring. Very good feet markings with very good even gloves, the left extends to the stopper pad at the back. Even socks. Very good medium length gauntlets, almost matched and even. Full in shape and nicely tapered. Excellent pale coat with a full ruff and shirtfront framing her face. Soft and silky and very well prepared and giving wonderful contrast to her dark seal points. Very good body weight and substance with good boning, thick set limbs and strong paws. Medium bushy tail. Lovely young girl with a super temperament.

BROWN OR BLUE TABBY MAINE COON KITTEN – MALE
1 & BOB GAYS JULESCOON WHACKER (64 41aw) (5.5.08) Very impressive lad who I judged just a month ago, I can’t believe how much he has grown in that time!! He has very good Maine Coon type and is now nearly 8 months old. My report is hardly changed from before. Medium head, slightly longer than broad. Uniform nose bridge. Lovely broad head with super high cheekbones and a good strong square muzzle. He needs slightly more width to his cheeks to balance out his head. Concave curve to profile with a very slight bump. Chin slopes of very slightly and has a reasonable perpendicular line, but could have a little more depth. Level bite. Large, tall ears, well tapered and with good tufts. Lovely setting high on the head. Very expressive eyes, full and round with an oblique shape and setting. Golden in colour. Huge and long body with very substantial boning and excellent body weight for his age. Very substantial limbs and large paws. Long well furnished tail. Very soft and silky coat, good glossy guard hairs to his top coat and with the undercoat developing nicely. Full medium ruff with shirtfront and breeches. Very well prepared. Blue classic tabby and white with a white bib and feet. Pattern quite solid particularly along the back and sides, but you can see the beginning outlines butterflies and oysters, but it is still very diffused. Very promising lad with a lovely temperament.
2 SANDFORDS KATMEA MALI CHITO (64 41) (12.8.08) Very sweet lad with excellent classic pattern and good Maine Coon type. Medium head. Slightly longer than broad. Uniform nose bridge. Quite broad head and reasonable cheekbones, excellent strong square muzzle. He needs more strength to his cheeks to balance out his muzzle, but I am sure that will come with time. Profile a little too straight. Excellent chin with a level bite and good perpendicular nasal line. Large tall ears with an excellent high setting on his head, lovely and open in position, with tiny ear tufts. Full, round eyes with a lovely expression, set slightly obliquely and golden in colouring. Long body with very good body weight and substance. Substantial legs and large paws. Long very well furnished tail. Lovely coat quality and texture. Very soft and silky with a super glossy top coat which is very well defined for his age. Very well prepared. Length still to develop, no ruff yet. Excellent classic pattern, with really well defined butterflies and a super split spine line. Lovely temperament.
FEMALE
1 CARDENS SHEERCLASS MOONSHINEMISSY (64 41w) (12.9.08) Lovely looking Maine Coon kitten of just over 6 months of age with very good type. Again I judged this kitten just a month ago and her head and coat texture have really come on in that time. She has broadened a little already and her head is looking so much more balanced today, she really has a definitive Maine Coon look. Medium length head. Slightly longer than broad. Broad head with reasonable cheekbones and with a lovely strong square muzzle. Lovely concave curve to profile. Very good chin with a reasonable perpendicular line and level bite. Large, tall ,ears, nicely tapering and very well set, high on her head. Very expressive eyes, full and round, with a slightly oblique shape and setting. Long body with reasonable boning and good body weight for her age and frame. Strong limbs and paws. Long tail. Soft and silky coat with a good texture and obvious guard hairs already developed. Undercoat and coat length still to develop. Very attractive warm brown tabby & white coat pattern, classic tabby pattern. Very well defined, with very strong barring on her legs and face and clear butterflies and oysters. Good split spine line. Very sweet girl with a lovely temperament.
2 MYERS DMMAINE MUCHAS DREAM (64 41) (03.8.08) Sweet young Maine Coon kitten of 7 months of age and with fair type. She is at quite a difficult stage of development at present and her head is very unbalanced. Medium length head, much longer than broad and with a more triangular rather than square appearance at present. Quite narrow head and cheeks with a very tapering muzzle. Almost straight profile. Good firm chin with a very good depth and an excellent perpendicular line, but again very tapered. Large, tall ears, set wide at base and nicely tapering, with good ear tufts. Set well high on the head. Full, round eyes, spaced wide apart and with a slightly oblique aperture but also slightly deep set. Long body, with good boning for her age, just needs to fill out her frame. Quite substantial legs and paws, lovely tufted feet. Long well furnished tail. Good coat quality and texture, with a good glossy top coat and with the undercoat well developed. Coat length developing and with a small ruff and breeches. Well prepared. Brown classic tabby coat pattern, pattern quite diffused at present as she is quite double coated at present. Sweet girl who was a little nervous today.

AC SILVER SOMALI KITTEN
1 & BOB FRANCIS NAINASUS BLUE PHOENIX (63cs) (14.7.08) Lovely balanced and harmonious kitten with a super Somali look. Just 8 months of age. With excellent Somali type. Excellent moderate wedge with lovely gentle and rounded contours to her muzzle. Slight nose break to profile. Slightly weak chin and level bite. Large eyes which looked a bit bold at first but better when she settled. Lovely eye make up and spectacles. Large ears, set well apart and broad at the base but with super cupping and very well furnished. Long body, very firm and muscular with a super level back. Long legs and oval paws. Excellent long tail with super furnishings. Soft and fine coat lying dense along the spine and with no real ruff yet but with a super flowing tail that really sets her off. Excellent ticking across her head and shoulders but more diffused along her spine line at present. Lovely glacial blue with a super silvery undercoat, some tarnishing to the legs. Good blue heels and paws. Lovely kitten with a super temperament.
2 BULLIVANTS BARANCHRI FILIGREE (63s) (13.9.08) Lovely young Usual Silver Somali kitten with fantastically clear silver ticking. Just 6 months of age and with very good Somali type. Moderate wedge with muzzle developing nicely, she just needs a little more time for her gentle curve to round off. Very slight break in profile. Slightly weak chin and level bite. Lovely expressive eyes, almond in shape, spaced wide apart obliquely. Large ears set well apart on her head and nicely cupped. Well furnished. Long body with very good boning and weight for her age. Long legs and oval paws. Soft and fine coat with a lovely dense texture. Length still to develop but with a super strong spine and tram lines down her back and a lovely long tail. Very good ticking with super contrast. Silvery white base colouring and black ticking. Excellent full black heels and paws. Very promising kitten with a delightful personality, she just wanted to play!!
3 ABBOTTS SUENICO GEORGINA PODSNAP (63as) (29.7.08) Lovely warm silvery peach colouring to this girl. She is just 8 months of age and has good Somali type. Quite nice wedge, but not quite balanced at present and still a little long. She needs more roundness and width to her cheeks to balance her head out. Almost straight profile, I would like to see slightly more break to the profile. Slightly weak chin and level bite. She was a little nervous today and her eyes were a little too bold, but large and set well apart with soft pale eye markings and spectacles. Large ears set a little too upright on her head at present. Well furnished. Firm, body well muscled and with good body weight and boning. Long legs and oval paws. Long tail. Lovely soft silvery peach colouring with good cinnamon ticking and a lovely silvery ground colouring. Ticking is less obvious than on the strong colours but is still evident, especially on her head. Good full cinnamon heels and paws. Sweet girl with a lovely temperament.

1 MANSELLS FORESTSHADOW CAJSA (6718a) (18.4.08) Lovely young NFC female of excellent type, who I have the pleasure to judge on a number of occasions. I understand she became a champion today, very well done to her breeder and owners. She was all sweetness and light today and was a pleasure to judge, long may it continue! Blue Silver Tabby coat pattern. Very good triangular head and straight profile. Good chin and level bite. Large ears, well furnished and with a lovely open setting. Very expressive eyes, large, oval and set obliquely. Long body with very good boning, at the moment she is growing fast and she needs time to fill out her frame, she is still very lightweight at present. High on the hind legs. Quite sparse coat, very short and lacking in undercoat and ruff at present. Very good coat quality and texture with a lovely harsh texture to her waterproof top coat. Very well prepared. Long flowing tail. Lovely temperament today.
2 MATTHEWS GALLDORA SWEET EMOTION (66.31at) (15.3.08) Very handsome young Ragdoll of just a year in age with very good Ragdoll type. Super broad head with a flat plane to head. Lovely rounded muzzle with full cheeks. Very good medium sized ears which tilt forwards nicely and are set well apart on the head. Super gentle dip to profile. Large well opened eyes, slightly oblique and set well apart with good blue eye colour. Excellent chin and level bite. Long body with very good boning and body weight. Strong limbs and large rounded paws. Good long well furnished tail. Fabulous full coat with a lovely ruff and shirtfront framing her face. Plush and dense coat quality. Very well prepared. Lovely temperament.

1 CC withheld DE SWARTE PANJANDRUM OBERLIX (13c1) (30.04.05) I was really sorry to withhold the CC today but unfortunately Oberlix has a very overshot bite with a number of missing incisors, this was confirmed by the Duty Vet and was my main reason for withholding, although he is also quite hooded and his coat is extremely dark right down to the roots. Good Birman type. Strong skull and good broad head with full cheeks and a quite rounded muzzle. Extremely dark seal points colouring to all points. Almost round eyes, with slightly pale blue eye colour, well set. Slightly weak chin. Slight dip to profile with a little bump. Medium ears spaced wide apart. Long body and good body weight and substance. Strong limbs and paws. Good gloves with even socks. Good medium length gauntlets, full and tapered and almost matched. Medium bushy tail. 2 COOPER & DEAR CH PICNMIX VALA (13c1) (15.2.07) Lovely young female with excellent Birman type, she is just over 2 years of age and just needs time for her coat to fully develop. Strong rounded skull with good broad head, full cheeks and lovely rounded muzzle. Very expressive, almost round eyes, slightly pale in colour but very well set. Slight dip to profile with a little bump. Firm chin and even bite. Ears looking a little tall, probably due to her lack of coat, but spaced well apart. Good dark seal brown points colouring to ears, and mask and just slightly paler on the legs. Even but slightly low scalloped gloves, right extends to the stopper pad but not beyond. Slightly uneven socks. Good medium length gauntlets, quite full in shape, nicely tapered and almost matched & even. Good long body with good boning & body weight for her age with strong limbs and paws. Very good pale beige coat, very soft and silky and well prepared with just slight shading to the shoulders and back, but lacking in fullness and length and present. Lovely temperament.

Strong skull with a broad head, full cheeks and lovely rounded muzzle, she just needs a little more time to mature and balance. Good seal points with paler legs and with some brindling to the tail. Ears still a little tall but set wide apart. Almost round eyes of a very good even blue, very well set. Lovely expression. Firm chin and level bite. Good slight dip to profile with a little bump. Low scalloped gloves. Even socks. Medium long gauntlets, almost matched and even, lovely full shape and nicely tapered. Long body with good body weight and substance. Strong limbs and paws. Excellent Birman type and just 9 months of age. Strong skull, with a lovely broad head, full cheeks and super rounded muzzle. Firm chin and level bite. Very expressive eyes, almost round and of an excellent deep blue colour. Very well set. Ears a little tall at present. Lovely mottled chocolate tortie markings to all points, very pale as yet on her legs and tail, but I think I could see the necessary shading! Mask still developing but lovely dark ears. Slight dip to profile with a little bump. Good even gloves. Good medium length gauntlets, nice full shape and well tapered. Lovely pale coat a little long but extremely well prepared and very beautiful. Soft, silky and very pale, with no shading. Good boning and body weight for her age and frame, with strong limbs and paws. Medium bushy tail. Very sweet girl, I do hope she overcomes her fear.
2 NUTLEYS CARAMLEIGH SIOLU PEREDUR (13c9) (16.4.08) Another very attractive chocolate tortie, two in one class what a treat! Very good Birman type and just over 10 months of age. Strong skull., broad head, full cheeks and reasonably rounded muzzle. Super mottled points colouring to her mask and ears and all colours present on all points. Slight dip to profile with a little bump. Ears a little tall at present. Eyes a little too oblique in shape for my preference but nicely set a good blue colour. Slightly uneven gloves, right extends to the side. Even socks. Uneven gauntlets, right is quite low and thinner and the left is medium in length and quite a nice full shape. Long bushy tail. Very pale coat, medium long and soft and silky. Long body with very good body weight and substance for her age. Strong limbs and large paws. A little cross today, but handle quite well.

2 MAXEYS MINELDA MIRACLE MAN (13c2) (16.07.07) Very playful and handsome young lad who I have judged a number of times just recently. He is now 19 months of age. Excellent Birman type, he was unlucky to meet the winner today. Strong skull and good broad head with full cheeks and a super rounded muzzle. Medium ears set well apart. Very expressive almost round eyes of an excellent blue colour, very well set. Slight dip in profile. Slightly weak chin and level bite. Strong slate blue points colouring to all points. Very good long body with very good boning and substance. Thick set limbs and strong paws. Very good full coat with a full ruff and shirtfront framing the face, pale and silky with some slight shading to the back but pale at the roots. Slightly low, scalloped and uneven gloves. Slightly uneven socks. Good long gauntlets, almost to the hocks and almost matched but with the left having a slight trail off the top. Medium bushy tail. Lovely gentle lad with a super temperament.

Good gloves, almost even, left extends at the back but not past stopper pad. Even socks. Uneven gauntlets, left is low, and quite pointed. Right is medium in length and nicely shaped and tapered. Good slate grey points to all points. Excellent long body with excellent body weight and substance for his age, with thick set limbs and strong paws. Soft and silky, medium length coat, pale with very slight shading to the shoulders and back. Very well prepared. Slightly short but bushy tail. Lovely gentle lad.

1 ALLENS GR CH CARAMLEIGH SPRINGTIME BEAU (13c15) (21.3.07) Handsome young lad of just almost 2 years of age with excellent Birman type. I have judged this lad several times recently and my report is little changed from then. Strong rounded skull with good broad head and full rounded cheeks. Lovely rounded muzzle. Very expressive , almost round eyes with good blue eye colour, well set. Slight dip in profile with a little bump. Slightly weak chin and level bite. Good red tabby markings with strong red colouring to all points and with good tabby thumbprints, spectacles and spotted whisker pads. Long body with good body and conformation. Lost a little weight just recently. Thick set limbs and strong paws. Slightly generous gloves, the right goes almost to the stopper pad but not beyond. Slightly uneven socks. Medium to long gauntlets, right is slightly longer than the left. The left is a fuller more tapered shape. Super full coat, soft and silky and with some shading to the shoulders and back. Medium long, with a full ruff and shirtfront. Slightly short but bushy tail. Lovely gentle lad.
2 PIKES CAROONA BOUNCING BUNDLE (13c2) (4.3.08) Lovely young girl with buckets of personality who didn’t really want to be handled today, we had to be quick!! With very good Birman type. Just over a year in age. Strong skull with a good broad head and full cheeks and lovely rounded muzzle. Lovely dip to profile. Would benefit from a little more strength to the chin but level bite. Medium ears spaced wide apart. Good blue grey points to head and tail with legs still a little paler. Lovely expressive eyes, almost round eyes with very good blue eye colour. Very well set. Slightly low and scalloped gloves, right extends to the stopper pad but not beyond. Slightly uneven socks. Low to medium gauntlets, quite even in shape, left dips in at the side a little. The right trails off the top just slightly. Good long body with very good body weight and boning. Thick set limbs and strong paws. Lovely pale coat, soft and silky with hardly any shading. Very dense and plush coat with the length and ruff still developing. Slightly short but bushy tail. Very promising young girl.

1 MANSELLS FORESTSHADOW CAJSA (67 18a) (18.4.08) Blue Silver Tabby. Young NFC I judged at the NFC show just a fortnight ago, my report is very similar. She was very naughty today and needs to learn some manners if she is to stay on the show bench! She has excellent type with a very good triangular head and straight profile. Good chin and level bite. Large ears, well furnished and with a lovely open setting. Very expressive eyes, large, oval and set obliquely. Long body with very good boning, at the moment she is growing fast and she needs time to fill out her frame, she is a little lightweight at present, but I suspect that is hormones. High on the hind legs. Reasonably full coat and shirtfront but lacking a little undercoat and ruff at present. Very good coat quality and texture with a lovely harsh texture to her waterproof top coat. Very well prepared. Long flowing tail.
2 STANTONS CH RAGADDICT MIAMORIO (66 31) (2.10.07) Lovely seal bi-colour Ragdoll with very good type. She is just 17 months old. Lovely broad head with a super flat plane. Good width between the ears with a nice forward tilt. Well rounded cheeks and muzzle. Excellent gentle dip to profile. Reasonably firm chin and level bite. Large and well opened eyes, with a good shape and setting and excellent blue eye colour. Good seal brown points colouring with balanced inverted V on mask. Pale coat, soft, silky and quite dense in texture, with no thumbprints on her back and with pale shading. Well preparation. Good body weight and substance and reasonably strong boning. Strong limbs and round paws. Long well furnished tail. Lovely temperament.

1 HANDYS NORSKMAGI TAVARIS (67 31ts) (24.6.08) Very handsome NFC kitten of just over 8 months of age with excellent NFC type. I have judged him a number of times recently and my how he has grown, he is now a very substantial lad. Silver tabby and white coat pattern. Excellent triangular head with a nicely rounded forehead. Straight profile, quite uniform and parallel between the eyes, which does spoil his refinement for me. Very expressive oval eyes, large and well opened and set well obliquely. Excellent ears, you don’t often see them this good on an NFC! Very large ears, lovely tapered shape and well furnished, with an excellent setting. Chin slopes off a little but even bite. Very good coat quality and texture, this has really come on. With good glossy guard hairs apparent and with length and ruff really starting to develop now. Very long body with super boning and substance. Really good body weight and with strong limbs and large paws. Lovely NFC stance, standing high on his back legs. Long well furnished tail. Exceptional kitten with a super temperament, definitely one to watch.
2 GAYS JULESCOON WHACKER (64 41aw) (5.8.08) Lovely young Maine Coon kitten with a typical Maine Coon expression and very good type. This kitten had real presence sitting there in the pen and a delightful playful purrsonality. He is 7 months old. Medium head, slightly longer than broad. Uniform nose bridge. Lovely broad head with super high cheekbone and a good strong square muzzle. Concave curve to profile. Chin slopes of very slightly and has a reasonable perpendicular line, but could have a little more depth. Level bite. Large, tall ears, well tapered and with good tufts. Lovely setting high on the head. Very expressive eyes, full and round with an oblique shape and setting. Golden in colour. Long body with very substantial boning and good body weight for his age. Very substantial limbs and large paws. Long well furnished tail. Very soft and silky coat, good glossy guard hairs to his top coat and with the undercoat developing nicely. Good medium ruff and nice shirtfront developing. Very well prepared. Blue classic tabby and white with a white bib and feet. Pattern quite solid particularly along the back and sides, but you can see the beginning outlines butterflies and oysters. Very promising lad with a lovely temperament.

She is now 9 years old and still looking fabulous, she has such presence. Lovely broad head with a super flat plane and good width between the ears. Nicely tilted forwards. Well rounded cheeks and muzzle. Lovely gentle dip to profile. Very good chin and level bite. Very expressive eyes, large and well opened eyes, good shape and setting. Excellent even blue eye colour. Good seal brown points colouring with a super balanced inverted V on mask. Pale coat, soft, silky and quite dense in texture, with two thumbprints of white on her back. Medium long coat with all white parts sparkling, excellent preparation. 1 seal spot on her hind leg. Very substantial and long body with strong limbs and round paws. Very good body weight and boning. Long well furnished tail. Lovely temperament.
2 ASHWORTHS IGRPR RAGALYN BLUELAGOON (66 31a) (27.4.04) Another Very handsome and mature Ragdoll of almost 4 ½ years of age with excellent Ragdoll type, unfortunate to meet my winner she does just have the edge. Super broad head with a flat plane to head. Lovely rounded muzzle with full cheeks. Very good medium sized ears which tilt forwards nicely and are set well apart on the head. Good gentle dip to profile. Large well opened eyes, slightly oblique and set well apart with excellent blue eye colour. Chin slopes a little but level bite. Massive lad with very substantial boning, long body and very good body weight. Strong limbs and large rounded paws. Good long well furnished tail. Good blue – grey bi – colour coat pattern, clear white all the way underneath and with just 3 thumbprints on the back. Fabulous full coat with a lovely ruff and shirtfront framing his face. Plush and dense coat quality. Super gentle temperament.
 

I would like to thank Anne, Brian and the committee for inviting me today; this is one of my favourite shows of the year. The standard of the NFC’s on exhibition today was I think the highest it has ever been and it was a pleasure to participate in the day. I was particularly pleased to be asked to judge the Overall Best in Show and must thank all the exhibitors for providing me with such a fantastic line up, which would rival those abroad. My Best in Show cat was a superb young lad Noynarock Zach, very well done to his owner breeder Linda Grant. 1 IMP GR CC Withheld HEALINGS GR CH LANDSKER YMER (TICA GR CH) (67 31ts) (14.5.06) I was sorry to withhold the Imperial certificate today but I just felt that this lad did not have the quality of type required for this ultimate title, although he has a good clean triangular shaped head he does have quite deep set eyes and quite low set and flared ears. I also felt that his coat quality today did not really conform to the standard. He was beautifully prepared but his coat was really too soft and silky for a correct Norwegian coat and lacked the harshness of texture and the waterproof elements required. Slightly weak chin and level bite. Long body with good body weight but I would like to see more strength of boning considering his age. Silver tabby coat pattern with a high expression of white. Slightly short tail. Lovely sweet lad with a super temperament.

IMP GR CC HEALINGS GR CH JARRAHKATT AZZARA (67 31t) (4.9.01) Mature NFC female of very good type and with a typical NFC look. She is 7 years of age. Very good triangular head shape with a straight profile and a definite chin. Level bite. Large eyes, well set obliquely but were looking just a little bold today. Large ears, nicely tapered and very well set, high on her head. Long body, with very good body weight, boning and substance. Strong limbs and large paws. Typical NFC stance. Good coat quality and texture, but still a little soft and lacking in length at present. Very well prepared. Slightly short tail. A sweet girl who was a little nervous today.

BOB GRANTS NOYNAROCK ZACH (67 31a) (21.6.07) My Overall Best in Show cat later in the day. He is a superb example of the breed and certainly one to watch. Excellent triangular head with a straight profile. Good chin and level bite. Lovely alert expression. Large oval eyes, green in colour and with a lovely oblique setting. Large ears, nicely tapered and very well set, high on his head. Well furnished and with a lovely open setting. Excellent coat quality and texture, especially for a dilute cat. Strong glossy guard hairs to his waterproof top coat and with good length and undercoat developing. Medium ruff framing his face and with a good shirtfront and knickerbockers. Attractive blue and white coat pattern with all white parts sparkling white. Long body with he back legs higher than the front and with very good boning and substance considering his age. Long well furnished tail. He was a worthy BOB and Best In Show winner and his breeder / owner can be justifiably proud of him. A real gentleman with manners to match.
1 CC ELMS NOYNAROCK SOLAMAN (67 31a) (2.5.08) Handsome young NFC lad of just 9 months of age with very good NFC type. Very good triangular head with a straight profile and a slightly weak chin. He does tend to puff out his whisker pads which does throw his head off a little. Large ears, but set slightly low on the head and slightly flared in positioning. Large oval eyes a little deep set but oblique. Super expression. Long body and good stance. With very good boning and body weight for his age. Strong limbs and large paws. Lovely inverted v of white to his head with a blue and white coat pattern. Coat currently a little soft but still a definite double coat apparent with coarseness to the guard hairs. Full coat, ruff and knickerbockers and well prepared. Very sweet lad with a super temperament.

Long body with good boning but he just needs time to fill out his frame. Strong limbs and large paws. Tail a little short. Well prepared smoke coat with a good double coat apparent but a little soft at present. Good full ruff and knickerbockers. Very sweet and talkative lad with a super temperament.

Long body with very good body weight and boning for her age. Strong limbs and large paws. Excellent coat quality and texture with an excellent glossy top coat, completely waterproof and with lovely harsh and glossy guard hairs, undercoat and coat length coming along nicely. Slightly short but well furnished tail. Lovely temperament.

Very expressive eyes with a lovely oblique setting but just a little small and deep set. Very good coat quality and texture with a big coat and ruff considering she is only 9 months old. Long body with good boning and frame for her age, she is just a little lightweight at present and needs to fill out her frame. Strong limbs and large paws. Lovely temperament a very promising young lady.

Firm chin and level bite. Large ears, very well furnished and just a fraction wide set on his head. Large oval eyes set obliquely once he settled. Excellent long body with strong limbs and large paws, but lots of growing still to do. Very good body weight, boning and conformation. Long well furnished tail. Excellent coat quality and texture, very well prepared, very attractive mackerel tabby and white coat pattern. Very good harsh and glossy top coat with the undercoat coming in nicely. Medium long coat with no real ruff develop yet. Lovely young lad with a super and playful temperament.

1 PC JONES JHARDUFAE LIAMS FLOWER (67 31ts) (11.4.08) Sweet NFC female of just 10 months of age, she was very nervous today and did not really show herself off to advantage. Nice NFC type. Good triangular head with a rounded forehead. Almost straight profile and slightly weak chin. She has a slightly spread front portion to her nasal profile, which spoils her elegance of type. Level bite. Large oval eyes which are slightly deep set but oblique. Large ears, but she would not hold them up for us and they were very bonneted in position and looked to be slightly wide set. Long body with strong limbs and large paws. Good coat quality and texture with a good harsh top coat and with her undercoat developing nicely. Coat length still developing. Sweet girl, I hope that she overcomes her nervousness.

Very expressive eyes, large, oval, well opened and well set obliquely but just a fraction deep set. Large ears, nicely tapered and well set high on his head. Well furnished. Long body with very substantial boning and good body weight. High on the hind legs with strong limbs and large paws. Very good coat quality and texture, excellent long and glossy guard hairs and a full coat with full ruff, shirtfront and knickerbockers. Lovely waterproof double coat. Very long tail, very well furnished. Handled well but a little unhappy.

Almost straight profile, which has a little bump and as he has a heavy brow and tends to puff his whisker pads out; he does tend to look a little square and dippy, which in fact is not the case. Large, oval eyes just a little deep set for me. Large ears, nicely tapered but just slightly wide set on his head and he wasn’t going to hold them up for us today! Excellent long body with super boning and conformation. Excellent body weight. Strong limbs and large paws. Typical NFC stance. Red tabby coat pattern. Excellent coat quality and texture with a lovely full coat with ruff and shirtfront. Super long glossy guard hairs to his waterproof top coat and with a super undercoat apparent. Sweet and gentle lad.

1 PC Withheld LINDGRENS JHARDUFAE XSITA FIROZA (67 31at) (13.4.04) Most unusual blue tabby and white coat pattern which was prepared to the last hair. It was a shame that Firoza was so nervous as she just curled up like a hedgehog and didn’t want to be seen. She has a very gentle nature, but didn’t like the show scene. I was sorry to have to withhold the PC today but unfortunately although she has a beautiful coat it is not the correct texture or quality for the breed and I don’t think it would be self maintaining in the wild! She is quite lightweight but does have nice strong boning and body length. She has a good triangular shaped head but her profile has a definite change of direction in it. Reasonably large ears but she wasn't going to put them up for us. Tail a little short. Sweet girl.

Strong skull, lovely broad head with full cheeks and nicely rounded muzzle. Firm chin and level bite. Very good blue eye colour, almost round in shape and very well set, with a lovely expression. Medium ears spaced well apart. Lovely mottled seal tortie points to all points with quite a lot of reddish colouring to the nose and super dark mottled ears. Slight dip on profile with a little bump. Slightly generous but even gloves. Even socks. Low sharply pointed gauntlets, not quite matched. Long body with very good body weight and substance. Thick set limbs and strong paws. Quite out of coat at present with no ruff and with some shading to the shoulders and back, almost down to the roots, but what she had was very well prepared. Medium bushy tail. A little huffy and cross today but handled ok.

Strong rounded skull with a lovely broad head and good rounded cheeks, for perfection I would like more fullness to his muzzle. Chin would benefit from a little more depth, even bite. Slight dip to profile with just a slight bump. Lovely expressive eyes, very good blue colour and almost round in shape, very well set. Good dark seal brown points colouring to mask ears and tail, slight reddish / chocolaty area around his nose which emphasises the slight lack of fullness there. Very well defined tabby markings to mask and legs. With a well defined “M”, good spectacles and slightly spotted whisker pads. Good pink nose leather. Medium ears, well spaced apart and showing strong tabby thumbprints. Very long body with excellent boning and body weight. Medium long thick set limbs and strong paws. Gloves good, the right extends slightly to the side but both close. Socks almost match. Good shape gauntlets, even, matching and short in length with slightly blunt endings. Full very pale coat, silky and soft, and very well prepared as always. Fabulous full coat with a lovely full ruff and shirtfront framing the face. Slightly shaded to the shoulders and back but still pale at the roots. Medium bushy tail with tabby tail rings. Lovely temperament.

Strong skull, broad head with fairly full cheeks but lacking fullness to her muzzle at present. Almost round eyes with very mottled blue eye colouring which is quite pale at the rims. Ears a little tall at present. Slightly weak chin and level bite. Slight dip to profile. Very deep seal points with very strong tabby marking and lovely clear tabby thumbprints. Pink nose leather. Good spectacles and spotted whisker pads. Long body, with good body weight and substance for her age. Strong limbs and paws. Good gloves and socks. Good medium length gauntlets which are almost matched. Very shady coat to the shoulders and back, right down to the roots in places. Would have benefited from more preparation underneath. Medium bushy tail, with feint tabby rings. Sweet temperament.

Slight dip in profile with a little bump. Slightly weak chin and level bite. Good red tabby markings with strong red colouring to all points and with good tabby thumbprints, spectacles and spotted whisker pads. Long body with good body and conformation. Thick set limbs and strong paws. Slightly generous gloves, the right goes almost to the stopper pad but not beyond. Slightly uneven socks. Medium to long gauntlets, right is slightly longer than the left. The left is a fuller more tapered shape. Excellent full coat, soft and silky and with no real shading. Medium long, with a full ruff and shirtfront, very well prepared. Slightly short but bushy tail. Lovely gentle lad.

Very balanced head slightly longer than broad. With a lovely uniform width and shallow curve to the nasal profile, broad head with reasonably strong cheekbones and a lovely strong square muzzle. For perfection I would just like to see a little more overall breadth. Very good deep chin and level bite. Very good perpendicular nasal line. She would benefit from a fraction more width to her chin to balance out her muzzle. Large tall ears, nicely tapered and very well set, full and open. Lovely expressive eyes, spaced slightly apart and with slight oblique setting and shape. Green in colour. Substantial boning and limbs with a long body. Substantial limbs and large paws. She just needs a little more weight to fill out her frame. Long well furnished tail. Long and flowing coat. Very good soft and silky texture with a glossy top coat and good undercoat apparent. Large well opened eyes, oval in shape and set obliquely. Large, well furnished ears, set very well, high on the head. Firm chin and level bite. Long body with a typical NFC stance. Very good body weight and boning for his age. Strong limbs and paws. Long well furnished tail. Very kittenish coat with pale and wispy kitten coat and colouring to the ends of his coat at present but with a super dark black coat developing. Very good coat quality and texture already developed to the black parts of his coat. Lovely temperament.

Very broad head with excellent strong cheekbones and a lovely strong square muzzle. Shallow curve to profile. Firm chin, would benefit from slightly more depth, level bite and good perpendicular nasal line. Very expressive, full and round eyes, set slightly obliquely and copper in colouring. Large, tall ears, nicely tapered and with very long ear tufts, set a little too low on his head. Very long and substantial body. Extremely well muscled with a very long body, very good body weight and massive boning. Very substantial limbs and huge paws. Very long and flowing tail. Very good coat quality and texture, with a very good top coat with long glossy guard hairs and a softer undercoat. Excellent full coat with a flowing ruff and shirtfront with excellent length and shaggy breeches. Very well prepared. Very good black smoke coat colouring with the pure white undercoat nicely developed to most of the coat and apparent as he moves. He was a little unhappy today but still easy to handle.

Almost round eyes with a lovely expression and his blue eye colour is a little pale now. Very well set. Medium ears set well apart. Lovely slight dip in profile. Slightly weak chin and almost level bite. Good gloves and even socks. Good medium to long gauntlets. Full in shape and almost matched and even. Long body with substantial boning and good body weight, especially considering his age. Thick set limbs and large paws. Very full coat with a full ruff and shirtfront framing his face. Profile is still a little straight for my preference and has a little bump. His head is still maturing and he still needs a little more time. Slightly weak chin and level bite. Good dark seal points colouring to all points. Slightly low scalloped gloves, right is raised at the side slightly but not beyond the stopper pad. Socks even. Medium to long gauntlets almost to the hocks, right is slightly longer than the left and trails around to the side. The left is slightly shorter and a little more pointed in shape. Very substantial long body with excellent boning and body weight. Thick set limbs and strong paws. Medium coat and ruff framing his face. Good silky texture but quite mottled with shading to the shoulders and back, pale at the roots. Medium bushy tail. A little talkative but handled well.

She is 6 years old and has a lovely Birman expression. Strong skull with a super broad head, full cheeks and muzzle. Almost round eyes, very expressive and of an excellent blue, well set. Slightly weak chin and level bite. Medium ears spaced well apart. Lovely dark seal brown points to all points. Good slight dip to profile with a very slight bump. Low scalloped gloves. Almost round eyes with good blue eye colour, nicely set. Medium ears set well apart. Slight dip in profile. Good chin and even bite. 1 PC Withheld MATTHEWS & KANAGALINGAMS LINANBRYS LAVENDERGIRL (13c1) (02.04.07) Sweet Birman girl, I was so sorry to have to withhold the PC but unfortunately she has a lack of pigmentation to the phyltrum, which is a withholding fault under the Birman standard, she also had a suspect tail. Medium bushy tail, with a definite kink to it but not yet fixed in deviation, I spoke to the owners about this, but as she has another withholding fault I did not get the duty vet to verify. Quite strong skull, broad head with quite full cheeks and rounded muzzle. Medium ears set well apart. Slightly weak chin and level bite. Almost round eyes with excellent blue eye colour, well set and very expressive.
Very pale and silky coat, soft and well prepared. Medium ruff and with nice coat length. Acceptable markings. Such a sweet tempered girl, such a shame about the faults.

Excellent triangular shaped head with a nicely rounded forehead. Almost straight profile and firm chin. Level bite. Lovely oval eyes, set obliquely. Large tall ears, nicely tapered but a fraction wide set. Very good coat quality and texture especially for a dilute colour. Well prepared and with a medium ruff and shirtfront. Long well furnished tail. Good long body with strong boning and very good substance. Strong limbs and large paws. Extremely talkative, he really needs to calm down otherwise it could spoil his show career.

1CC LANGLEYS ZELANDONI KATINKA (67 31s) (15.4.08) Sweet NFC female of good substance and with nice NFC type. Good triangular head with a firm chin and level bite. Medium ears which are really a little small but well set. Lovely clean triangle but she is at an in between stage at present and needs time to mature. She is also just 9 months of age. Almost straight profile and nicely rounded forehead. Excellent coat quality and texture with really good glossy guard hairs and a lovely harsh top coat. Undercoat just starting to develop. Black and white coat pattern and all white parts sparkling. Good long body with good boning but needing a little more substance. Strong limbs and large paws. Very sweet temperament.

BROWN OR BLUE TABBY MAINE COON KITTEN - MALE
1 & BOB BAKERS VILLENELLE GENTLE GEORGE (64 44w) (04.07.08) Rangy young Maine Coon lad of good type. He is now 6 months old. Medium length head, slightly longer than broad. Broad head with reasonably high cheekbones and a good square muzzle, need a little more width to develop to the cheeks to balance his head out. Shallow concave curve to profile, with a reasonably uniform width to his nose bridge but slightly spread at the front of his nasal profile. Firm chin, which would benefit from a little more depth, reasonably perpendicular nasal line and level bite. Large tall ears, nicely tapered and well set with huge tufts. Full and round eyes, spaced wide apart and slightly oblique in setting. Coppery colouring. Very long body with good boning he just needs time to fill out his frame. Reasonably substantial limbs and large paws. Slightly short tail but well furnished tail. Very good coat quality and texture. Very long glossy guard hairs with the undercoat and length just starting to develop. He would have benefited from a little more preparation behind his ears and on his tummy. Brown mackerel tabby and white coat pattern with diffused patterning but obviously a mackerel pattern. White feet and bib. Lovely lad with a super temperament.
2 BALES ISHAMAC TIMEBANDIT (64 31t) (11.8.08) Sweet young Maine Coon lad of 5 months of age and of nice type. Moderate head length with the front portion of the muzzle being slightly short, but with quite a balanced look. Reasonably broad head and cheekbones with a nice square muzzle, just lacks a little definition at present. Slightly straight profile. Firm chin with a good perpendicular line and a level bite. Large tall ears, nicely tapering with good ear tufts, but set slightly flared and a little too low on the head. Large eyes a little more oval than round and set a fraction too obliquely. Gold in colour. Long body with good boning and weight for his age. Quite substantial limbs and large paws. Long well furnished tail. Very soft coat, still quite kittenish and not yet developed the proper double coat and texture. Very good length for his age and very well prepared. Brown tabby and white coat pattern, with a diffused tabby pattern, white inverted V to face and white feet. Lovely temperament.

AC SILVER TABBY MANE COON KITTEN – MALE – Lovely class, very difficult decision
1 & BOB MCQUILKIN NORACOON GEORGEOUS GEORGE (64 41ds) (22.07.08) Lovely young Maine Coon kitten of 6 months of age and with excellent Maine Coon type. I judged this kitten just 3 weeks ago and my report is very similar to then. Medium length head, slightly longer than broad. Broad head with good high cheekbones and a super strong square muzzle. Shallow concave curve to profile. Very good chin with very good width and a good perpendicular nasal line and level bite. Large, tall ears, nicely tapered and set high but well apart. With good ear tufts. Very expressive eyes, full and round and set slightly obliquely. Copper in colour. Excellent long muscular body, very strong and with very good bodyweight and boning for his age. Very substantial legs and large paws. Very long and well furnished tail. Excellent coat quality and texture, very well defined and with good glossy guard hairs, undercoat and length developing nicely. Very well prepared. Lovely red silver tabby coat pattern, super clear silver colouring. Good butterflies, but quite a solid spine line at present, otherwise very well defined tabby pattering. Lovely lad with a super temperament who is very well named!
2 HERKES NORACOON DESPERATE DAN (64 41ds) (22.7.08) Litter mate to my first placed cat and difficult to separate these two, he too should also have a suitably complimentary name and he is not desperate at all!! He is also 6 months old and with excellent Maine Coon type. Medium length head, slightly longer than broad, his head type is slightly more extreme than his brothers and therefore at present not quite as balanced. Reasonably broad head and cheekbones. Quite strong muzzle but needs more overall width and strength to the head type. Shallow concave curve to profile with a slight bump. Firm chin which would benefit from a little more width to balance. Level bite. Large, tall ears, nicely tapering but a little too low set on the head. Good tufts. Full, round eyes with a nice slightly oblique aperture and setting. Reasonably long body with good body weight and boning for his age. Reasonably substantial limbs and large paws. Tail just long enough but well furnished. Soft and silky coat, with a good double coat for a dilute colouring and with definite definition to the glossy top coat. Well prepared. Very pronounced white whisker pads at present, which I suspect is brindling, she is also very brindled around the eyes and at present, this does detract a little, making her look a little unbalanced. Good body weight and substance for her age with strong limbs and paws. Low scalloped gloves, white extending at the back on the right glove but not to the stopper pad. Even socks. Medium long gauntlets almost matched and even and nicely tapered. Very pale, soft and silky coat, length still needs time to develop but has no shading at all. Slightly short bushy tail. At present she is missing any seal from both front legs and one hind leg. Lovely mottled markings to her mask and ears. Very harmonious kitten, with a broad head, full cheeks and lovely rounded muzzle, she just needs a little more time to fill out. Ears a little tall at present. Almost round eyes, slightly pale eye colour, especially at rims, very well set and super expressive. Slight dip to profile with a little bump. Slightly weak chin and almost level bite. Very pale coat, soft, silky and with good length for her age, still a little kittenish in texture, but very well prepared. Slightly low and scalloped gloves. Even socks. 3 BROWNS DALTEEMA FANTASIA (13c10) (03.06.08) Another lovely type kitten, who needs time for her colouring to develop and unfortunately today I could not see any lilac on her front legs or her tail, we did take her to the white light, but still no lilac appeared. The lighting in the hall did not help but she has more caramel than lilac tones at present. Lilac tortie is a very slow developing colour and this kitten is only just 7 months old, so hopefully the colours will develop in time. Strong skull with a broad head, reasonably full cheeks and slightly narrow muzzle. Ears a little tall at present. Almost round eyes, with slightly pale blue eye colour, well set. Slight dip in profile. Slightly weak chin and level bite. Grey and pink nose leather with lilac and cream very apparent on her mask and ears. Good medium length coat for her age, with good length, very pale with no shading. She had slightly dirty feet and would have benefited from a little more preparation underneath. Very good body weight and substance with good boning, long body and thick set limbs and paws. Nice even gloves. Even socks. Good medium length gauntlets, good full shape and nicely rounded. Very sweet girl with a lovely temperament.

Large oval eyes, well opened and slightly deep set but oblique. Large ears, nicely tapered and well furnished but slightly wide set on his head. Very long body with very good boning and substance. Long limbs and strong paws. Good body weight for his frame. Typical NFC stance. Long tail, reasonably well furnished. Good snowshoes. Full coat with a good ruff and shirtfront, good medium length coat with an obvious double coat to his saddle but with the top coat being overall a little too soft to the touch. I suspect this was due to him being bathed for the show as he was very well prepared. Attractive Red tabby coat pattern. Lovely gentle giant with a super temperament.

This kitten had lovely rich and vibrant colouring and excellent ticking for his age. Moderate wedge to his head which is a little long at present and needs a little more time to balance out and give the lovely curving contours. Very slight nose break to profile. Firm chin and almost level bite. Lovely expressive almond shaped eyes, set obliquely and well apart. Light copper in colouring. With very well defined pencil markings around the eyes. Large, well pricked and cupped ears, nicely furnished and set wide but not too low on the head. Long body firm and muscular with good substance and boning for his age. Long legs and oval paws. Long well furnished tail. Lovley coat colouring with a super soft but dense coat, medium in length and very well prepared. Good overall length for his age. Excellent ticking apparent, especially on his head, shoulders and spine line but still developing to the sides and flanks. Excellent fully coloured heels and paws with a deep black colouring. Broken necklace. Beautiful lad, very gentle temperament.

Broad head with good high cheekbones and a strong square muzzle. Shallow concave curve to profile. Firm chin with very good width and a good perpendicular nasal line and level bite. Large, tall ears, nicely tapered and set high but well apart. With good ear tufts. Very expressive eyes, full and round and set slightly obliquely. Copper in colour. Long muscular body, very strong and with good bodyweight and boning. Substantial legs and large paws. Long well furnished tail. Excellent coat quality and texture, very well defined and with good glossy guard hairs and undercoat developing nicely. Very well prepared. Lovely red silver tabby coat pattern, super clear silver colouring. Good butterflies, but quite a solid spine line at present. Pattern starting to come through nicely. Very promising kitten with a lovely temperament.

Very good coat quality and texture, with a very good top coat with long glossy guard hairs and a softer undercoat. Excellent full coat with a flowing ruff and shirtfront with excellent length and shaggy breeches. Very well prepared. Very good black smoke coat colouring with the pure white undercoat nicely developed to most of the coat and apparent as he moves. Lovely gentle lad with a super temperament.

Strong skull and good broad head with full cheeks and a super rounded muzzle. Medium ears set well apart. Very expressive almost round eyes of an excellent blue colour, very well set. Slight dip in profile. Slightly weak chin and level bite. Strong slate blue points colouring to all points. Very good long body with very good boning and substance. Thick set limbs and strong paws. Full coat with a full ruff and shirtfront framing the face, pale and silky with some slight shading to the back but pale at the roots. Slightly low, scalloped and uneven gloves. Slightly uneven socks. Good long gauntlets, almost to the hocks and almost matched but with the left having a slight trail off the top. Medium bushy tail. Lovely gentle lad with a super temperament.
